As part of the Marketing team, the Supervisor, Email Marketing supports Staples retail and online growth initiatives by managing email programs that drive brand awareness, traffic, sales, customer acquisition, engagement and retention. This role oversees email campaign execution, customer journey development and automated flow strategy, ensuring programs are customer-centric, data-informed and aligned to business priorities. The Email Marketing Supervisor is the central point of contact and subject matter expert for email marketing across stores and online channels, and acts as a key contact for the email service provider. This position works closely with marketing leadership, cross-functional partners, analysts, e-commerce specialists and external vendors to deliver effective campaigns, optimize lifecycle touchpoints and improve overall email performance.
Specifically, You Will:
Lead, coach and develop two direct reports responsible for email campaign execution and lifecycle marketing support, including setting expectations, supporting growth plans, training on email best practices and appraising job results.
Support the email marketing vision and annual campaign plan in partnership with Marketing
Management, ensuring promotional campaigns, lifecycle opportunities, automated flows and customer journey priorities align to business goals.
Lead the development, execution and optimization of customer journeys and automated email flows, including welcome, onboarding, engagement, replenishment, winback, post-purchase and other lifecycle programs that support customer needs and business objectives.
Oversee primary weekly email campaign execution and rapid deployment campaigns, partnering cross-functionally with analytics, e-commerce, merchandising, marketing and other business units to support segmentation, personalization, campaign priorities and email file growth.
Develop and manage testing, measurement and post-analysis processes in collaboration with analytics, including campaign, flow, offer, creative, personalization and frequency tests; monitor key performance metrics and share actionable insights with marketing leadership.
Partner with vendors, IT, marketing and e-commerce teams to improve platform capabilities, process efficiency, program performance and adoption of new technologies and industry best practices.

Some of what you need:
University degree in business or related discipline
Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible digital/email marketing experience
Knowledge of MS Office with focus on Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong project management skills and the ability to influence cross-functionally
Direct experience with email marketing platforms (Klaviyo)
