About the Role
The Director, Social Media Marketing owns and evolves portfolio-wide organic social strategy, reporting to the Head of Brand Marketing and translating integrated brand priorities into an audience-led channel, content, community, and social-commerce roadmap.
This leader works in tandem with the Head of Brand Marketing to set the role of each priority platform, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok. This role establishes annual and quarterly priorities, and connects organic social, creator and UGC inputs, community, paid-media learning, retail, and digital commerce through one accountable operating model.
The Director leads a five-person social and multimedia team and is accountable for strategy, creative standards, reputation and escalation governance, performance measurement, budget and resource allocation, team development, and executive reporting.
This is a strategic player-coach role. Managers own daily calendars, publishing, moderation, and routine optimization; the Director sets direction, makes portfolio tradeoffs, approves high-impact work, and escalates material brand, legal, reputational, or investment decisions.

Establish content pillars, recurring franchises, publishing principles, and calendar standards while empowering the team to own day-to-day execution.
Use social listening, trend forecasting, audience intelligence, competitive insights, and cultural signals to identify opportunities and inform brand, content, and product decisions.
Recommend where to increase, reduce, or redirect social investment based on brand impact, audience quality, commercial contribution, team capacity, and strategic relevance.

Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary team of three Social Media Managers and two Multimedia Designers.

Maintain strong judgment around brand safety, reputation management, social listening, and sensitive real-time issues.
Creative Strategy & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Set the social creative strategy and quality bar for campaigns, launches, recurring franchises, reactive opportunities, and always-on content.

Partner with Brand Partnerships, Influencer, Affiliate, and PR teams to align creator and UGC content with the broader social strategy.
Build a repeatable organic-to-paid creative pipeline with Growth and Paid Media teams, using high-performing organic content to accelerate testing and improve paid performance.
Integrate social with ecommerce, retail, email and SMS, product, community, and PR so priority moments launch with a coordinated audience and content strategy.
Performance Tracking & Optimization
Establish a clear KPI and measurement framework across audience growth, brand impact, content performance, community, commerce, and operational performance.
Deliver concise monthly executive reporting and quarterly business reviews explaining results, drivers, risks, learnings, and recommended actions.
Lead structured experimentation across hooks, formats, content series, cadence, creator inputs, and emerging platform features.
