We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a Dir II Digital Marketing (Hybrid) on our MMX- Analytics and Data team. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office, requiring 3 days a week in the office.

As a Director II Digital Marketing, you will be responsible for defining, delivering, and

managing AMA’s direct and digital marketing strategy. Partners with leadership team members to

lead, develop and implement the direct and digital business strategy, to maximize the

customer/member acquisition and enterprise value

provided by AMA’s marketing efforts.

Collaborate with key stakeholders to plan and execute integrated customer/member acquisition and customer experience that engage, inform and motivate to support program and platform awareness and

purchase of AMA membership. Manages a

team of digital and direct marketing professionals that support multiple

business partners/stakeholders in meeting their marketing objectives for their

target audiences.

Responsibilities:

Direct & Digital Marketing Strategy

  • Develop and lead the marketing strategy to optimize the use of direct marketing to acquire, renew and retain members, including working closely with the other AMA marketing colleagues to optimize use of various channels to communicate key messages and solicit membership.
  • Lead the development and implementation of the digital media strategy, to support the strategic goals and objectives and the digital customer experience .
  • Collaborate with business partners, customers/members to understand their needs and execute shared marketing solutions that advance the goals and objectives of the business.
  • Direct the development, implementation, tracking and optimization of AMA’s direct and digital marketing campaigns across all channels.
  • Lead Creative development of membership retention and acquisition marketing campaigns, including print and digital.
  • Lead the testing strategy to optimize marketing campaigns to grow membership. Identify creative new direct marketing techniques, channels and programs to attract and retain members.
  • Develop and Lead the member onboarding experience to enhance member experience and drive retention.

Performance Metrics

  • Measure success as defined by digital KPIs (e.g. membership/customer conversion, adoption and retention targets).
  • Develop and monitor direct and digital performance metrics, such as behavior analysis, site traffic, campaign effectiveness and target segmentation, developing enhancements as indicated by results, and social media impact.
  • Review, participate, and maintain any digital sales forecasting and other financial reports on product(s) or future products.
  • Understand member segments and how they fit into the direct and digital strategy; ensure digital portfolio delivers quality and customer/member acquisition throughout the digital experience.
  • Measure results and optimize the lead nurturing workflows to convert leads into customers, minimize list decay and unsubscribes while increasing the productivity of our email sends .
  • Develop documentation and road maps for processes, A/B tests, and promotions that succeed through email.
  • Collaborate with Director, Campaign Integration and Marketing Operations on the management of the $11 MM direct and digital marketing budget which includes revenues and expenses for marketing campaigns through the direct channel.

Management and Staff Development

  • Lead, mentor, and provide management oversight for highly skilled professional staff.
  • Responsible for setting objectives and evaluating staff performance; assure staff development.
  • Identify opportunities for advancing staff skills and expertise.

May include other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA a plus.
  • Minimum 10+ years of integrated digital marketing and customer acquisition experience, preferably within digital customer acquisition focused business.
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a supervisory role, leading teams in the creation and management of digital marketing campaigns.
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate.
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments.
  • Strong knowledge and experience using best practices in user experience design, web analytics tools and techniques to ensure accurate and timely reporting of digital initiatives.
  • Strong strategic thinker with the ability to understand and translate overall business and digital customer acquisition requirements into measurable goals and strategies, and successfully execute on strategy, on time and on budget.
  • Demonstrated ability to recommend creative digital solutions in line with business objectives and inform, educate and engage resources in emerging digital marketing methods.
  • Proven track record in a leadership role within a complex, multi-disciplinary organization; ability to collaborate with internal colleagues, external resources/partners and other stakeholders to identify and maximize opportunities to apply digital technologies to create and maintain the optimal user experience.
  • Experience with search engine optimization and search marketing; key solution experience includes content management and CRM software.

This role is an exempt position, and the salary range for this position is $152,939-$206,519. This is the lowest to highest salary we believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to business consideration and geographical location, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
