What you'll be doing

Our Marketing Centre of Excellence (CoE) brings together strategic marketing expertise to help drive growth across Personal and Business Banking. As Director, Growth Marketing, you'll help shape, execute, and optimize integrated, full-funnel marketing programs that support acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention. Working as a chapter member in CIBC's agile environment, you'll align to squads and deliver marketing initiatives in partnership with Product Owners, agency partners, and cross-functional teams. You'll bring marketing strategy to life through data-informed campaigns across paid, owned, organic, and earned channels, while ensuring work aligns with business priorities, client needs, and performance objectives. You'll use analytics, client insights, and market intelligence to identify opportunities, improve marketing effectiveness, and provide recommendations that support growth. You'll also contribute your expertise to the chapter, share best practices, and help advance agile marketing ways of working across the CoE.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you'll succeed

  • Integrated campaign delivery - Support the development and execution of full-funnel marketing campaigns across paid, owned, organic, and earned channels, with clear objectives, strong creative direction, and measurable business outcomes at the squad level.
  • Performance optimization - Apply a test-and-learn mindset through sprint-based delivery, experimentation, and ongoing optimization to improve acquisition, engagement, and retention results.
  • Media strategy and channel execution - Partner with agency teams and internal stakeholders to inform media strategy, planning, and execution, and help optimize channel mix, targeting, and budget allocation to maximize marketing impact.
  • Analytics and measurement - Partner with Data and Analytics teams to apply measurement frameworks, attribution insights, and performance reporting, and translate findings into actionable recommendations for squads and business partners.
  • Agile squad collaboration - Work closely with Product Owners and cross-functional squad members to support flow-to-work planning, prioritize marketing activities, and deliver client-focused outcomes through iterative sprints.
  • Influence and partnership - Build strong relationships across squads, chapter peers, agency partners, and stakeholders to align priorities, shape decisions, and move work forward through influence rather than formal people leadership.

Who you are

  • You have deep marketing experience. You bring 10+ years of experience in integrated, performance, and digital marketing, ideally within financial services, credit cards, or another regulated industry.
  • You give meaning to data. You have strong expertise in marketing analytics, including attribution, marketing mix modeling, performance dashboards, and insight-driven optimization.
  • Your influence makes a difference. You build alignment across Product Owners, product teams, agencies, chapter peers, and senior stakeholders. You're highly effective in a matrixed environment where success depends on influencing without direct authority.
  • You embrace and advocate for change. You're confident working in agile environments and can adapt quickly to evolving priorities, squad structures, and new ways of working.
  • You're motivated by collective success. You have experience working across cross-functional teams, contributing specialized expertise, and helping teams achieve shared outcomes without formal supervisory accountability.
  • You can demonstrate experience in paid search, paid social, programmatic display, search engine optimization, customer relationship management and email marketing, push, short message service, and in-app marketing. It’s an asset if you have experience with marketing automation, artificial intelligence, and machine learning tools.
  • Values matter to you. You bring your real self to work, and you live our values - trust, teamwork, and accountability.
