Digital Marketing Specialist

Faulk & Winkler, LLC | Baton Rouge, LA | Full-Time | In-Office (Flexible)

Faulk & Winkler is hiring a Digital Marketing Specialist to sit at the intersection of marketing and communications execution, business development support, and CRM operations.

This is not a role for someone who wants to hand tasks up the chain and wait for direction. This is a role for someone who sees what needs to happen, builds the system to make it happen, and takes pride in the results.

You’ll work closely with our Marketing Director and directly support firm partners in developing initiatives and building programs. This hire will keep our marketing initiatives running efficiently, our business development pipeline organized, and our brand represented consistently across every channel we own.

About Faulk & Winkler

At Faulk & Winkler, we are committed to positively impacting the wellbeing of those we serve through strategic business and financial solutions. Our mission is to be the destination CPA and advisory firm in Louisiana, empowering people to solve complex problems and grow with confidence.

Established in 1984, Faulk & Winkler is a Baton Rouge-based public accounting and advisory firm committed to providing practical solutions through close personal attention. Our people are our greatest asset — knowledgeable, approachable, and professional in everything we do.

What You’ll Do

Marketing Operations & Channel Management

Alongside the Marketing Director, you’ll keep the day-to-day marketing function running smoothly across both of our brands.

  • Manage social media presence to demonstrate subject matter expertise and promote firm culture across six accounts (two brands), including scheduling, community monitoring, and performance reporting
  • Coordinate podcast logistics for two active shows: content planning, guest scheduling, pre-production prep, show notes, and distribution
  • Support event planning and execution, including planning and invitation, presentation materials, on-site coordination, and follow-up
  • Draft and manage new hire announcements, internal communications, and onboarding marketing materials
  • Manage advertising and sponsorship design and deadlines and community involvement tracking
  • Coordinate vendor relationships and marketing budget tracking

Content & Communications

You’ll execute campaigns and content initiatives developed in collaboration with the Marketing Director.

  • Design, format, and schedule email marketing campaigns, newsletters, thought leadership alerts, and collateral materials
  • Maintain the firm-wide editorial calendar and graphic assets to ensure deadlines are met across channels
  • Coordinate with external contractors to manage production of assets and materials
  • Manage website copy and design updates and coordinate with website vendors

HubSpot Sales Hub & CRM Operations

This is a cornerstone of the role.

  • Coordinate with the Marketing Director to align CRM workflows with campaign and content strategy
  • Connect the dots across referral sources, prospect engagement, and follow-up activity so no opportunity slips through the cracks
  • Work with internal operations team to maintain CRM data integrity: contact records, pipeline stages, activity logging, and deal tracking
  • Build and manage dashboards and reports that give partners and leadership clear visibility into business development activity
  • Support HubSpot adoption across the firm — training staff, troubleshooting workflows, and ensuring the system is actually used

Business Development Support

You won’t be closing deals — but you’ll be the engine behind the partners who are.

  • Support the development, execution, and tracking of firm-wide initiatives
  • Maintain a library of proposal templates, capability statements, and case study content
  • Prepare and coordinate proposals: formatting, customization, tracking submissions and outcomes
  • Support referral partner relationships: activity monitoring and tracking in HubSpot
  • Support event-based business development: coordinating attendance, materials, follow-up sequences
  • Identify and flag pipeline gaps or stalled opportunities for leadership attention

Team Coordination

  • Assist in supervision of part-time marketing intern, assigning tasks and reviewing work
  • Act as the operational hub for the marketing function — the person who keeps all the plates spinning

What Success Looks Like

After a year in this role, we’ll know it’s working when:

  • Our social channels and podcast operations run on a consistent, predictable schedule
  • Proposals look polished, are acted on and delivered timely, and are tracked from submission to outcome
  • The Marketing Director’s time is protected for strategy and content because you’ve got operations handled
  • HubSpot is a reliable source of truth for pipeline activity, relationship intelligence, and business development progress
  • Partners are consistently using the CRM and feel supported, not burdened, by the process
  • You’ve built systems and documentation so the function doesn’t depend on any one person’s memory

What This Role Is Not

  • This is not a role where you wait to be told what to do or let a question sit on the backburner
  • This is not a slow-moving environment — we’re a firm that just grew 46% in 18 months and we’re not slowing down
  • This is not a pure execution role — you’ll be expected to think critically, flag problems, and bring solutions

Who You Are

You are someone who finds genuine satisfaction in making a complex operation run cleanly. You like knowing all the moving pieces and having a plan for the interplay between each. You are equally comfortable in a spreadsheet, a CRM dashboard, and a conversation with a partner who needs something yesterday.

You are someone who:

  • Takes ownership seriously — if it’s in your lane, you see it through
  • Communicates proactively — you don’t let things get stuck quietly
  • Coordinates well across a team, communicating proactively and pivoting when needed
  • Brings order to ambiguity — you don’t need everything to be defined before you start
  • Is genuinely curious about how things work and how they could work better
  • Can hold multiple priorities and stay ahead of potential issues
  • Good judgement to prioritize tasks and elevate opportunities for change

What You Bring

  • 3–5 years of experience in marketing, communication, business development operations, or a similar role
  • Experience managing social media across multiple accounts or brands
  • Experience with podcast or content production workflows is a plus, not a requirement
  • Strong writing skills — you can write a proposal cover letter, a LinkedIn post, and an internal email with equal clarity
  • Hands-on CRM experience — not just data management; you’ve built workflows and pulled reports
  • Graphic design experience is a plus
  • Comfort with project coordination — you’ve managed vendors, tracked deadlines, and kept complex workstreams moving
  • An eye for detail without losing sight of the bigger picture
  • Professional services background preferred (accounting, consulting, legal, financial services) but not required

Why This Role

This is a rare opportunity to join a firm at an inflection point — one that has grown significantly, has real leadership buy-in for marketing and business development, and is building the function deliberately rather than reactively.

You’ll have:

  • A Marketing Director who will give you clear direction and get out of your way
  • Direct visibility with firm partners and leadership
  • The chance to build systems that didn’t exist before — and put your name on them
  • A firm that’s serious about becoming the destination CPA and advisory firm in Louisiana

— and needs you to help get there

If you want to own something real, build something that matters, and grow with a firm that’s going places — let’s talk.
