What You Will Do:

We are seeking a results-driven and tech-savvy Digital Marketing Manager to lead the strategic and operational execution of our digital marketing initiatives. In this highly visible role, you will build digital programs that drive lead generation, customer engagement, and conversions. You will be responsible for inbound and outbound campaigns, digital activation, paid media, and marketing automation, ensuring all digital efforts support broader business objectives. This role is critical in helping to attract, qualify, and nurture leads and requires a strong mix of strategy and hands-on digital execution. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure digital efforts align with business goals and contribute to brand growth.

Success in this role requires deep expertise in performance marketing, SEO/AEO, social media strategy, analytics, and marketing technology, particularly HubSpot, Salesforce, and WordPress.

The Digital Marketing Manager owns digital marketing strategy and foundational paid/organic channel performance across all PennEngineering brands. This role sets priorities and briefs for the Content & Campaign Specialist, manages the SEO/AEO agency relationship, and translates findings into a prioritized content and campaign roadmap. The Digital Marketing Manager is accountable for outcomes across paid media, foundational digital channels, and reporting, but is not expected to personally write content or schedule social posts - that execution sits with the Content & Campaign Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Channel Ownership

  • Set and maintain the digital marketing strategy across all brands, aligned to business goals and BU priorities by region.
  • Own paid media and foundational digital execution across 6sense, Google Search, and Google Display - campaign structure, targeting, budget, and optimization.

SEO/AEO & Agency Management

  • Manage the SEO/AEO agency; own the scope of work, timeline, and quality of technical SEO/AEO deliverables (schema, tracking, keyword/AEO audits) across all 9 brands.
  • Translate SEO/AEO findings into a prioritized content and campaign roadmap, briefing the Content & Campaign Specialist on what to write and in what order.

Reporting & Systems

  • Build and maintain reporting dashboards covering KPIs, funnel performance, and campaign ROI; report performance and recommendations to the Director, Strategic Marketing.
  • Align with the Martech Manager and Data Analytics team on integration and data integrity across HubSpot, 6sense, and connected platforms.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Manage and develop the Content & Campaign Specialist, setting priorities and reviewing output quality.
  • Partner with IT/web and Analytics teams on website UX, lead generation performance, and brand consistency.

Work Location:

Danboro, PA (Philadelphia region) - hybrid.

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For:

Required

  • 7+ years managing digital marketing programs in a B2B environment, ideally multi-brand or multi-BU.
  • Hands-on expertise in paid search, paid social, and programmatic/display; working knowledge of 6sense or similar ABM/intent tools.
  • Experience managing agency or freelance partners against defined scope and deliverables.
  • Working knowledge of SEO/AEO fundamentals — enough to brief and evaluate agency work, not necessarily to execute it personally.
  • Proficiency with HubSpot and marketing analytics (GA4, Search Console, Looker, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience managing at least one direct report and setting team priorities.
  • Strong project management and communication skills; able to translate performance data into clear recommendations for leadership.

— must operate independently from day one

  • 6 sense — ABM/intent-based advertising and orchestration across accounts and segments.
  • Google Search (Google Ads) — campaign structure, keyword strategy, bidding, and budget management.
  • Google Display (Google Ads) — audience-based display campaign build and optimization.

Preferred

  • Global Experience operating across multiple brands or business units sharing a single marketing platform stack.
  • Familiarity with CRM/ABM integrations (Salesforce, 6sense) and how they connect to HubSpot.
  • Experience with SEO Tools such as Google Search Console and SEM Rush
  • Prior experience standing up or scaling a lean marketing team.

Strong plus — experience managing or evaluating

  • Paid social advertising platforms (e.g., LinkedIn Ads, Meta Ads).
  • HubSpot Marketing Hub and marketing analytics tools (GA4, Search Console, Looker, or equivalent).
