Digital Marketing Manager

Dallas Symphony Orchestra (DSO) is seeking a creative and detail-oriented digital marketing professional to serve as Digital Marketing Manager, a critical member of the Marketing, Communications & Media and Guest Services team.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Audience Development (DMAD), this role is responsible for executing the DSO's email marketing and website presence in support of ticket sales, subscriptions, and donations. This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role that partners closely with Creative Services, Communications & Media, Guest Services & Ticketing, Development, and Education to bring campaigns to life across owned digital channels, while also managing local digital advertising placements and reporting on performance across all digital properties.
Key Responsibilities
Email Marketing
- Create compelling email content to drive ticket sales and donations, working in collaboration with Creative Services, Communications & Media and Guest Services & Ticketing
- Build and manage targeted lists and automations including marketing messaging and pre/post-concert communications
- Support the Development and Education departments in the creation, approval process, and distribution of targeted email campaigns
Website Maintenance
- Create, revise, and update pages and forms within the DSO website on behalf of all DSO departments
- Optimize webpage layout and design to ensure alignment with DSO brand standards
- Build engaging and interactive major campaign landing pages that generate new concert subscribers, ticket buyers, email subscribers, and donors
- Collaborate with DMAD on optimizing website functionality and ongoing navigation and overall site updates
- Work with Guest Services to ensure Tessitura integrations are optimized, creating an easy and secure purchase path for our patrons
Local Digital Advertising
- Work with DMAD to set campaign timelines—ensuring campaigns are coordinated with other Marketing and Development efforts
- Manage digital ad buys with local media partners and in-house managed paid digital media
- Adhere to established concerts budgets, monitoring invoices and keeping up-to-date records
Reporting
- Regularly track website and other owned web properties for key metrics such as traffic, engagement, conversions and reviews
- Prepare monthly and campaign-specific post-concert reports
- Evaluate tactics, assess impact, and adjust strategies to improve the effectiveness of our email marketing and website
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Music Business, Communications or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience
- Minimum of 2-3 years of digital marketing experience, with experience in email marketing and website management
- Experience managing local digital advertising or paid media placements, including vendor and budget coordination
- Working knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and campaign reporting
- Strong writing and storytelling skills, with copywriting experience
- Demonstrated ability to think both strategically and creatively
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into strategy and decisions
- Keen attention to brand consistency across marketing materials and platforms
- Ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities across multiple concurrent projects
- Passion for the arts and a commitment to audience engagement and community impact
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines across a variety of internal departments and external partners
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently, while initiating and driving programs as a results-oriented team player
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Preferred
- Experience in the arts, entertainment, or nonprofit sector
- Experience with email service providers, marketing automation platforms, and HTML
- Experience with website content management systems (CMS), including page building and basic web design
- Familiarity with Tessitura or a comparable CRM/ticketing platform

- Some evening and weekend work is expected to support performances, events, and community engagement efforts
