The Role
We are running a confidential search on behalf of our Client for a Digital Marketing Data Analyst who turns marketing data into decisions. You will own the reporting our clients count on, give an honest read on whether our work is moving their business, and find the patterns across our portfolio that make every client better. This role is for someone equally at home inside a spreadsheet, an API, and a client conversation.
What You Will Own
Monthly and Quarterly Reporting
• Deliver monthly and quarterly client reports using our existing reporting infrastructure.
• Own accuracy and timeliness on every report. Quarterly reports reach the client within two weeks of the close of the prior quarter.
Improving Our Reporting Infrastructure
• Simplify our legacy reporting so it is faster to run, easier to maintain, and less expensive to operate.
• Cut manual steps and remove the points where reports most often break. Evaluating Whether Our Tactics Work
• On a set schedule, run analytics reviews of the work we have delivered to clients.
• Give an unbiased, neutral read on whether each tactic moved the client toward their business goals. No spin in either direction.
• Partner with Customer Success to bring those findings back to the client clearly.
• Use what you learn to recommend expanding a tactic across similar clients or pulling it back.
Business Intelligence Through Customer Success
• Track competitor moves before the client notices them, so Customer Success can keep clients ahead of shifts in their market.
• Run competitive monitoring using tools such as Local Falcon and PPC competitive studies.
Cross-Client Analysis and Experiments
• Study tactics across our full client base to surface best practices, standout wins, and clear misses, then spread those lessons across similar clients.
• Serve as the analytical backbone for portfolio-wide experiments that produce statistically meaningful results faster. For example, testing a “free consult” line in PPC ads, or measuring how a “near me” SEO strategy performs.
• Where possible, give clients benchmarking data so their numbers come with context, not just figures on a page.
Building Clients' Own Reporting Systems
• Work directly with clients to stand up their internal reporting, including stitching data feeds together through APIs and implementing intake management software.
• Set up and configure CallRail, Google Analytics, Search Console, and other client-specific or legal-industry tools.
• Troubleshoot data problems as they surface, such as CallRail attribution that is not tracking correctly.
Going Deep With Sophisticated Clients
• For clients that already run mature internal reporting, work inside their infrastructure to protect accuracy and timeliness.
• Learn the specific metrics they live and die by, and keep our execution locked on those numbers.
Driving Data-Centric AI Initiatives
• Lead the rollout of data-driven AI efforts internally and with clients, starting with “Touchpoints” and “The One That Got Away” reporting.
• Help expand toward an AI-driven marketing KPI dashboard as the work matures.
What Success Looks Like
• Every quarterly report lands within two weeks of quarter close, with no accuracy issues.
• Legacy reporting is measurably simpler and cheaper to run than it is today.
• Customer Success has a steady flow of competitive and performance insight to bring to clients.
• Portfolio-wide experiments produce clear, statistically sound answers that change how we work.
Tools You Will Work With
Google Analytics, Search Console, CallRail, Local Falcon, PPC competitive analysis tools, API-based data integrations, intake management software, and our internal reporting infrastructure.
Proven experience as a data analyst, ideally in a marketing, agency, or client-services setting.
• Strong hands-on skills with marketing and web analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Search Console, and CallRail.
• Comfort working with APIs and connecting data across different systems.
• Ability to run sound statistical analysis and explain what the numbers mean in plain language.
• A track record of turning data into recommendations that non-technical people can act on.
• A clear, confident communicator who can hold their own in a client conversation, not just behind a screen.
• Highly organized and dependable on deadlines.
Nice to Have
• Experience in a marketing agency or with local SEO and PPC campaigns.
• Familiarity with legal-industry marketing or client-specific technology stacks.
• Experience building or deploying AI-driven reporting or dashboards.
• SQL, Looker Studio, or comparable BI and visualization experience.
