What the Role Does:
Transform search engine marketing data into smarter campaigns and high-performing digital marketing strategies.
As a Data Analyst - Digital Marketing, you will combine strong analytical skills with hands-on ownership of a large-scale search engine marketing portfolio. You will use campaign performance data, financial results, internal reporting, and AI-enabled tools to uncover opportunities and improve campaign profitability, quality, efficiency, and return on investment. You will also apply creative skills to develop clear, customer-focused advertising that helps more people around the world access modern legal solutions.
This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week, with the option to work hybrid from our Edmonton, Alberta office.
What You’ll Do:
- Plan, implement, and manage a portfolio of paid search campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising to increase website traffic and drive conversions.
- Analyze campaign performance data, financial results, and key performance indicators to uncover actionable campaign change tactics
- Optimize and adjust campaign bids to maximize profitability and ensure peak performance
- Review campaign structures, budgets, targeting, and other performance levers to improve efficiency and maximize profitability.
- Utilize internal reports and AI tools to accelerate data-driven decisions that enhance campaign effectiveness
- Monitor data quality and campaign health, investigate variances, and implement solutions that support accurate reporting and dependable campaign management.
- Conduct keyword, search query, competitor, and market research to identify campaign optimization and growth opportunities.
- Build product level knowledge to evaluate advertising opportunities and tailor campaign strategies to customer needs.
- Review user level information to develop relevant audience segments and targeting strategies.
- Support creative work by writing compelling advertising copy, crafting brand messaging, contributing to landing-page updates, and coordinating image and video assets within the advertising platforms.
- Research paid search platforms, AI capabilities, new advertising formats, and industry developments to identify valuable new approaches and stay up to date on best practices.
- Communicate complex analysis and recommendations clearly to support informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross functional Legal, Product, and Development teams to execute projects.
What You Bring:
The Essentials
- Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Finance, Management Information Systems, Operations Management, Data Science, Economics, Computing Science, or another analysis-related program.
- Experience analyzing large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including experience with complex formulas, PivotTables, data visualizations, and data analysis.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to balance multiple projects.
- Experience using AI tools to support analysis, reporting, writing, research, and productivity.
- Strong written English communication skills, with the ability to develop concise, persuasive advertising copy and conversion-focused messaging.
- Sound judgement and strong data-driven decision-making ability.
- Ability to communicate findings clearly, synthesize complex analysis, and make actionable recommendations.
- Natural curiosity and a strong problem-solving mindset, with a track record of fast learning and adapting to new platforms or methodologies.
- A collaborative working style and the ability to contribute effectively across team projects.
The Nice to Haves (Great if you have it and we’ll help you learn if you don’t)
- Knowledge of PPC / SEM campaign management (Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising) and marketing KPIs.
- Proficiency with Power BI for data visualization and business intelligence.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, Canva, or other digital creative tools.
- Experience with Google Analytics, or other marketing analytics tools.
- Ability to learn Content Management System tools to update website content.
- Experience with Python, VBA, R, Task Scheduler, or related analytical and automation tools.
