Workplace: White City, London - 2 days a week in the office

The role

Want to turn great content into unmissable marketing and help millions of viewers discover what to watch next?

Sitting within the M&E Marketing team, you’ll lead integrated marketing campaigns that build awareness, spark conversation and drive viewing across Broadcast and Streaming. You’ll also work closely with our major platform and distribution partners, including Sky, Amazon, Samsung and Virgin Media, to ensure ITV’s content is prominent, discoverable and front of mind.

This is a varied role spanning two connected areas of marketing. You’ll lead campaigns from briefing through to delivery and evaluation, working across the full marketing funnel. You’ll also develop and deliver partner marketing activity, from securing high-impact placements and creating bespoke promotional opportunities to building strong relationships with the platforms through which audiences discover and watch ITV.

At the heart of the role is the ability to turn audience insight, content propositions and commercial opportunities into brilliant marketing activity. Working with Creative and Media Strategists, internal teams and external partners, you’ll develop clear briefs, champion distinctive ideas and bring stakeholders together around shared objectives.

We’re looking for an experienced, proactive marketer who combines strategic thinking with excellent delivery skills. You’ll be equally comfortable leading an integrated campaign, influencing senior stakeholders or identifying new opportunities to grow ITV’s presence across our distribution partners.

Main responsibilities:

  • Lead integrated campaign strategy and write brilliant briefs, translating content propositions, audience insight, market intelligence and cultural opportunities into clear, simple and structured marketing briefs. Define the target audience, proposition, key messages, objectives and measures of success, using our audience-first framework.
  • Lead partner marketing activity, developing and delivering marketing plans with ITV’s major platform and distribution partners to increase content prominence, improve discoverability and drive viewing across ITVX and Broadcast.
  • Maximise promotional opportunities with partners, securing high-impact placements, developing bespoke creative assets and identifying innovative ways to showcase ITV content across connected TVs, streaming platforms and other partner environments.
  • Build strong relationships with external partners, working collaboratively to understand their platforms, audiences and priorities, influence their promotional plans and identify mutually beneficial opportunities for ITV.
  • Influence and manage internal stakeholders, building strong relationships with Commissioning, Publicity, Creative, Media, Partner & Distribution and senior stakeholders. Navigate competing priorities, challenge constructively and bring people together around shared marketing objectives.
  • Champion creative and distinctive marketing, working with creative and media partners to develop ambitious ideas that cut through, generate conversation and make ITV’s content stand out in a competitive marketplace.
  • Use insight and performance data to optimise activity, drawing on audience research, market intelligence, media performance, partner reporting and campaign results to inform decisions, demonstrate impact and improve effectiveness.
  • Stay ahead of the market, monitoring competitor activity, cultural trends, audience behaviours and developments in streaming, connected TV and content discovery to identify new marketing and partnership opportunities.

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

  • Proven experience delivering integrated marketing campaigns, with responsibility for planning and executing paid and owned activity across multiple channels, ideally within entertainment, media, streaming or a similarly fast-paced consumer environment.
  • Strong strategic briefing skills, with the ability to distil complex information into clear, simple and structured briefs grounded in audience insight, with a compelling proposition, focused objectives and clear strategic direction.
  • Strong full-funnel marketing expertise, with experience across above-the-line advertising, including TV and outdoor, alongside digital and performance marketing. Able to explain how channels work together to deliver awareness, consideration and viewing or conversion objectives.
  • Experience in partner, platform or channel marketing, with an understanding of how brands can work with external partners to deliver shared marketing objectives, increase visibility and drive customer engagement.
  • Strong relationship management and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with external partners and internal stakeholders, navigate competing agendas, challenge constructively and secure alignment.
  • Strong analytical and audience insight skills, with the ability to interpret research, media data, partner performance and campaign results, draw meaningful conclusions and use evidence to shape decisions.
  • A strong creative instinct, with the ability to recognise distinctive ideas, develop compelling campaign propositions and work effectively with creative teams and agencies.
  • Experience working with creative agencies and production teams, including collaborating on creative development, promotional assets, talent-led campaigns and shoots, from initial concept through to production and delivery.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to articulate a clear strategy, present recommendations, influence decisions and translate complex information into actionable plans.
  • A good understanding of the evolving media and distribution landscape, including paid media, digital platforms, connected TV, streaming services, content discovery and the role of platform partnerships in reaching audiences.

Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)

  • A collaborative marketer who builds trusted relationships and brings people together to deliver shared objectives.
  • A genuine passion for television, entertainment, popular culture and the shows and moments that get people talking.
  • A proactive, commercially minded approach, with the curiosity to spot opportunities and the confidence to turn them into action.
  • The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, maintaining a clear view of the bigger picture while managing the detail.
  • Resilience and adaptability, with the confidence to manage pressure, changing priorities and challenging stakeholder situations in a fast-moving environment.
  • A commitment to learning, sharing knowledge and continually improving how we plan, deliver and evaluate marketing activity.
