Overview
We're looking for a talented Editor/Motion Designer to join our integrated production studio, combining hands-on editorial and motion design expertise with a strong understanding of post-production workflows, production technology, and creative production processes. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who excels at crafting compelling visual stories from capture to finish while contributing the effective use and ongoing improvement of established production workflows and tools.
Supporting a portfolio of regulated CPG brands, you'll shoot simple tabletop/social first content, edit digital, social, and broadcast content while creating engaging motion graphics and animations that elevate creative work across platforms. In addition to creative execution, you'll contribute to the ongoing development of post-production workflows, project organization and efficient production practices. Ability to light and shoot simple tabletop and social content is required.
The ideal candidate combines exceptional editorial instincts, strong motion design skills, technical curiosity, practical lighting and shooting skills, strong organizational abilities and an interest in improving creative production workflows.
Responsibilities
Production & Post-Production
- Edit high-quality video content for broadcast, digital, social, retail, and experiential campaigns.
- Design and animate motion graphics, titles, typography, product animations, explainers, and branded assets.
- Collaborate with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Copywriters, Producers, and Strategists to develop engaging visual stories.
- Take projects from rough cut through final delivery, maintaining strong attention to pacing, storytelling, music/SFX, and visual polish.
- Integrate color, audio, stock media, graphics, and VFX elements into finished content.
- Adapt creative assets across multiple formats, aspect ratios, and distribution channels.
- Light and shoot simple tabletop or social first video and photo content as required.
Workflow & Technical Practices
- Follow established post-production workflows, project organization, media management and QC/delivery standards.
- Maintain consistent file organization, naming conventions, version control and overall project hygiene while identifying opportunities to improve existing practices.
- Stay current with relevant editing technologies, AI-assisted workflows, automation, and software tools, and recommend opportunities that may improve individual or project-level efficiency.
- Collaborate with producers and studio leadership on workflow or production improvements
- Assist with equipment inventory, storage management, and inform appropriate use of production and post-production equipment and resources as needed.
Collaboration
- Work closely with shooters, producers, designers, and external production partners throughout post-production.
- Participate in creative reviews, incorporating feedback while maintaining creative integrity.
- Share technical expertise and best practices across the broader team.
- Collaborate across multiple brands while balancing competing priorities and deadlines.
Qualifications
- 5-8 years of professional editing and motion graphics experience in an advertising agency, production company, or in-house creative studio with expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
- Strong working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Media Encoder.
- Demonstrated portfolio showcasing editorial storytelling and sophisticated motion design.
- Experience delivering content across broadcast, digital, social, and emerging media platforms.
- Strong understanding of post-production workflows, codecs, color management, audio finishing, and delivery specifications.
- Excellent organizational skills with experience managing media libraries and complex project files.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced agency environment.
- Familiarity with different lighting scenarios and camera setups for photo and video along with platform-specific best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting creative operations, working within established workflows and digital asset management or contributing to workflow improvements.
- Familiarity with Frame.io, Cinema 4D, Figma, or AI-powered creative tools.
- Experience working with regulated industries such as healthcare or pharmaceuticals.
- Understanding of legal, compliance, and medical/legal/regulatory (MLR) review processes.
- Basic scripting or automation experience for Adobe applications is a plus.

Compensation Range: USD $66,120.00 - USD $101,790.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met.
