Job Summary
We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented and enthusiastic Content Creator & Social Media Coordinator to bring the Grouse Mountain lifestyle to life across owned digital channels. From filming first chair on a snowy day to capturing summer sunsets from The Peak of Vancouver, this role is all about telling authentic stories that connect people to the mountain memories made here. Reporting to the Communications Manager and collaborating closely with the Marketing team, you will be responsible for developing content and implementing social media strategies to enhance our brand visibility and engage our audiences.

Essential Job Functions
- Create and produce engaging platform-specific photo and video content for web, social media (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, etc.), and advertising, ensuring brand consistency.
- Curate and provide media assets (photo & b-roll) as needed.
- Support the development and execution of social media strategies across multiple brands and seasons (Grouse Mountain, Grouse Bike Park, Grouse Parks).
- Plan and maintain social content calendars, aligning with marketing/communications campaigns, events, and business goals.
- Monitor and engage with users through comments, Duty Managers, reviews, and brand mentions in a timely manner to cultivate a positive community.
- Develop meaningful connections with guests, locals, athletes, creators, and the Grouse Mountain community.
- Collaborate with teams across the mountain including marketing, events, operations, F&B, and more to bring campaigns and experiences to life online.
- Support contests, influencer collaborations, and broader marketing initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze social media metrics to measure the success of campaigns and inform future strategies.
- Stay updated on the latest social media trends, tools and best practices.
- Coordinate internal and external photo and video shoots.
- Work flexible hours/on-call as needed to manage social media activities.
- Assist with other marketing and communication duties as directed
- Hire and coordinate external photographers, videographers, and drone operators for content capture as needed.
- Ensure all visuals align with brand identity and maintain a high standard across platforms.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position reports to the Manager, Communications and does not involve any direct supervisory responsibilities.
Required Qualifications And Abilities
- Post-secondary background in marketing or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience in social media, content creation, photography/videography or related field
- Exceptional grasp of the English language and strong copywriting skills, with the ability to tailor writing style to appropriately match audience and brand voice
- Drone operation license and experience is an asset
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Experience working with a variety of social media channels, analytics and posting tools
- Ability to network and build strong internal and external relationships
- Adobe Creative Suite proficiency is an asset (Premiere, Lightroom)
- Superior attention to detail and the ability to think and act strategically
- Capacity to work with tight deadlines while delivering social media content that aligns with the Grouse Mountain brand
- Passion for an active outdoor lifestyle including snow sports, hiking, and mountain biking is a bonus
Working Conditions
Due to the nature of the business, this position requires flexibility in terms of your work schedule. A variety of work schedules may include a variety of start times, including shifts on weekends and statutory holidays.
Compensation And Benefits
$50,000 to $60,000 annually, dependant on skills and experience.
