The Opportunity
This is a senior individual contributor role in Australia, reporting directly to the Digital Marketing Director, Australia. You will operate as an internal consultant to the broader marketing team, embedded enough to understand what's happening at account level, elevated enough to see across the portfolio and drive the strategic and operational improvements that matter most.
You will bring rigour to forecasting, media planning consistency, QBR quality and standard ways of working across our enterprise clients. This is not a people management role. Your impact will be measured by the quality of your strategic thinking and your ability to lift the bar across the team through frameworks, discipline and sharp commercial instinct.
- Own media planning and forecasting: Lead holistic media planning across the Australian portfolio, owning the forecasting methodology and applying Marketing Mix Modelling to guide budget decisions.
- Client portfolio oversight: Hold a portfolio-level view across all enterprise accounts, spotting risks and opportunities individual account teams might miss, and running quarterly strategy reviews for every client.
- New business and growth: Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities, lead new platform and channel recommendations, and bring a senior paid media perspective to pitches and retainer growth.
- Operational excellence: Standardise QBR formats, reporting templates and ways of working, and own the quarterly business review process end to end.
- Team enablement: Coach senior team members through frameworks, structured reviews and direct mentoring, lifting the strategic capability of the paid media practice over time.
- AI and innovation: Pilot and evaluate AI-assisted tools for media planning, bidding and creative testing, and model best-practice AI usage for the wider team.
We care more about the calibre of your strategic thinking and what you've built than a long list of certifications. A strong track record across enterprise accounts counts for more here than years alone.
You will probably have:
- 7+ years in paid media at a senior strategic level within a performance or digital commerce agency.
- Comprehensive, certified knowledge of Google Ads (Search, Pmax, AImax, Display, Demand Gen, YouTube) and major social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest and similar).
- Deep cross-channel knowledge of how paid search, paid social, organic search and programmatic work together to drive commercial outcomes.
- Experience applying Marketing Mix Modelling to cross-channel budget optimisation, media attribution and incrementality measurement.
- Strong commercial acumen across margin, growth and client retention, backed by a proven track record in media planning and financial forecasting across enterprise accounts.
- Experience building or improving operational processes including QBRs, reporting standards and ways of working.
- Active use of AI tools in a media planning or strategy context, with a clear view on where AI adds real value and where human judgement matters.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and present confidently to senior stakeholders.
