Job Summary:
The Advancement & Engagement team is seeking a Social Media Assistant for the 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 academic years to support our alumni engagement efforts. The Advancement & Engagement Office oversees donor-related events, activities, and fundraising initiatives of the
Conservatory. The hours for this position are generally available Monday through Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm. We will work with the candidate on determining a schedule that works for them surrounding their class schedule upon hire. This position is eligible to work 10 hours maximum per week. The ideal candidate for this position is available to work partially in-person and remote.
The position is compensated at $15.00 per hour with a desired start date of 10/1/2026.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Curate alumni news articles to share on the Alumni Network
- Create social media posts to coincide with news articles
- Monitor alumni news submissions within Google Form
- Browse news and social media platforms to find alumni news
- Assist with the development of social media initiatives and strategies
- Interact and engage with followers through social media platforms
- Ability to record footage and create social media reels
- Record alumni news effectively within our database and in correlating spreadsheets
- Promptly complete tasks when assigned
Qualifications:
- Social media experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Linktree, and LinkedIn
- Basic knowledge of Canva
- Experience working in databases is a plus
