PR Senior Account Manager
Location: Guildford
Salary: £28,000 + DOE
My client based in Guildford is currently recruiting for a Senior Account Manager to join their team. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong client relationships, delivering agreed client activity and acting as an ambassador for the agency. You will be ensuring that each client's PR activity is managed and delivered effectively and on time and the client's account is developed to its full potential.
The Role:
Work with the Client Services Director to develop client proposals and plans
Be involved in the development of financial budgets for each client annually
Develop PR proposals and plans to support the clients marketing and sales objectives
Conduct regular client meetings to discuss on-going activity
Drive the PR campaigns including managing the writing of press releases, extended articles, catalogues and promotional activity
Identify new opportunities for your clients and make recommendations to them
Be an expert in your clients businesses
Attend client events including trade shows, product launches, conferences, hospitality events etc.
Build and maintain relationships
Help to identify new business prospects by carrying out relevant research
Attend new business meetings and actively participate in new business pitches
Meet with account team weekly to progress client activity, review and delegate work
Manage timelines of work
Contact with the media to secure PR opportunities
Develop the skill set of team members, encouraging and motivating to ensure personal development
Conduct annual appraisals
Person Specification:
At least three years B2B PR or relevant experience
Experience managing a team
Experience of delivering pitches to clients
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Educated to degree level
Attention to detail
Microsoft Office knowledge
Interest in current affairs
Able to work as part of a team
Able to manage own workload
Can work under pressure and meet deadlines
