Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lettings and Marketing Professional to join a Reputable Housing Group to act as a focal point for the Lettings Service for the Southern portfolio. This is a permanent position and would suit a creative thinker with an understanding of the Letting process. The role is a Monday - Friday position paying a starting salary of £24,000 plus excellent benefits.

Description

Key duties of this role will include but are not limited to:

Being the focal point for the lettings service in the South, and working with colleagues, to ensure our homes are let sustainably to people in housing need.
Utilising the Housing Group's In House software to ensure the smooth operation of our lettings and allocations process
Liaising with local authorities and other partners to ensure the effective operation of choice-based lettings schemes
Supporting existing customers to meet their housing aspirations and requirements, through proactive management of mutual exchanges, transfers and management moves, downsizing initiatives, etc
Dealing with contractors to ensure homes are made safe and ready to let as quickly as possible
Delivering creative solutions in order to let those properties that are proving more difficult to let, including effective use of void enhancement budgets
Taking ownership for developing and delivering the Marketing service offer, in conjunction with the Customer Partnership Manager.
Engaging with potential new customers so that the customer relationship sets off on a strong footing.
Supporting existing customers to meet their housing aspirations and requirements, through proactive management of mutual exchanges, transfers and management moves, downsizing initiatives, etc
Supporting colleagues with potential visits to void properties, customers and potential customers
Creating interesting, colourful and insightful reports about homes marketing performance measures in order to aid decision making and ensure your resources are focused in the right areas
Leading on the day to day office and facilities management, overseeing the maintenance, security, cleaning and appearance of the regional office. Oversee the management of the office, including staff welfare, stationery, office equipment, meeting rooms, office health and safety and fire safety. Profile

The successful candidate will have the following:

Experience in Marketing properties for a Housing Association or Local Authority is extremely desirable
Ability to take ownership of the marketing and for the Lettings Service across the South
Understanding of the lettings process
Passionate about customer care and well-being
A supportive and engaged team player, with the customer and the community at the heart of all you do, and able to influence others
Someone who develops and shares skills, experience and knowledge
consistently high performer who thrives on challenges, leads and inspires
Ability to adapt your communication style to suit the situationUK Drivers Licence and Access to a vehicle also required.
