Job Description

Core Purpose: Entry level position, working under the general direction and supervision of more senior staff, controlling digital information on a project, submissions, transmittals, requests for information etc. for engineering commissions. To participate in the delivery of communities of practice initiatives within the local team

Able to demonstrate basic experience and expertise as a Digital Information Controller, probably gained whilst working in an apprentice or trainee role
Able to control digital information on a project, submissions, transmittal, requests for information etc. for engineering commissions, working under supervision
Able to recognize the importance of following procedures associated with health, safety and welfare, e.g. Construction (Design and Management) Regulations
Basic experience of working on BIM Level 2 projects
Basic experience of using EDMS (Electronic Document Management Systems)
Basic experience of MicroStation / CAD as appropriate to the sectorCompetencies (what I am capable of)

Building Information Modelling (BIM) Legislation BS1192, PAS1192 Suite
BIM content standards and development proceduresKey measures of success / KPIs

Participation in the local delivery of community of practice led initiatives
Successful control of digital information on a project for engineering commissions based on the key criteria of quality, cost, programme and health, safety and welfare, working under supervision
