CAN YOU PLAN STRATEGICALLY AND MAKE THINGS HAPPEN? We are looking for a Head of Digital Marketing to join our team, acting as the “Product Owner” within a SCRUM -based team of digital marketers. While taking ownership for the quality of the outcome on all our digital marketing projects, the Head of Digital Marketing must also be KPI focused and able to both conceptualise and deliver award-winning digital marketing strategies. Our client base includes a range of global and national brands in a variety of industries, so we are looking for a creative and organised individual who can integrate with our skilled team and generate exceptional results. Duties to include: Technical support – a high level of technical skill and experience is required in order to be able to actively engage with the delivery of projects when necessary Providing and sharing knowledge of the latest digital technologies and best practices with clients and internal teams Mentoring and managing team members with less industry experience Building and maintaining a relationship with customers Liaising between the MSA team and clients to define business goals based on consumer insights, trend analysis and other analytics measuring the effectiveness of digital activities Developing and delivering short and long-term digital marketing strategies, in order to achieve client business goals Creating and maintaining the “product backlogs” – this is scrum terminology for the full breakdown of tasks or “user stories” successful completion of projects will require. The stories must be created and prioritised in line with project targets and goals Helping the “Scrum Master” organise “sprint planning” sessions – the Product Owner will require a sharp mind to schedule tasks to ensure our strategies are accurately delivered. Participating in new business pitches, recruitment and marketing strategy for My Social Agency Ltd Required Skills: A minimum of 5 years previous experience working in digital marketing agencies Client handling experience Superhuman organisational skills and an ability to work to tight deadlines Excellent written and face-to-face communication skills along with strong presentation skills with a keen eye for detail Well versed in content marketing, search marketing or social media marketing with technical expertise in at least one of these fields Engaged leadership: must have an instinctive understanding of when they need to engage with direct, hands-on support and also know when to step aside Effective mentoring: the team should be empowered to grow and develop on their own through a sense of ownership and autonomy, fostered through the effective mentoring of the Product Owner Experiential learning: the best Product Owners do not need to have had many years in a role.
