About the roleÂ
We are looking for an experienced Social Content Strategist. Working in a small team, you will have experience in auditing, ideating, concepting and creating content for social and web with a performance mindset. You will also have strong experience in data-analysis and auditing to create strategies that meet the needs of our clients and their audiences.
The role will be dedicated to a project with an FMCG company in the USA, working across a portfolio of brands on strategy and insights on multiple social channels and web. This role will be expected to work closely with the client on understanding their brand priorities and matching those to landscape and audience insights to create playbooks and strategies to set the social accounts up for success. The role will also require a level of web content auditing and analysis, and a good understanding of what performance content looks like – and how to plan and execute it. As the client is in the USA, some overlap on US hours is necessary.
Responsibilities:Â Â
- Conduct thorough research to inform the social and web content offering of our clients, including but not limited to desk research, interviews, surveys, and using data insights tools.
- Create and inform the user journeys of our projects.
- Use both creative and data to inform the content types, formats and platforms that will be most suitable for our client’s needs and their audiences.
- Maintain and further develop our internal ways of working for creating content excellence and sharing your knowledge to train team members across the business.
- Collaborate with our internal teams to deliver on the strategic needs of new and existing clients.
- Create and inform content publishing workflows for our clients.
- Set guidelines for the tone, style, and voice of all content, as well as create governance documents for clients where appropriate.
- Help create taxonomies and metadata frameworks for grouping and tagging content.
- Conduct thorough content audits and touchpoint analyses.
- Conduct social listening and interpret data to inform web and social strategies.
- Writing and editing editorial content, as required.
Requirements:Â
- Minimum 3-5 years in content strategy or in mid-weight content roles with a broad understanding of consumer habits, channels and touchpoints.
- Experience in food and drink is preferred, and the candidate will ideally have experience across a number of categories and industries, including lifestyle, health and wellness, beauty and consumer goods
- A deep understanding of channel purpose, appropriate content formats and best practices to meet audience and channel needs.
- Comfortable conducting consumer research (whether desk research, interviews or through insights tools)
- A sound understanding of SEO and KPIs based on organic traffic success. Knowledge of Google Analytics / Adwords tools.
- A sound understanding of social platforms and their role in publishing.
- A sound understanding of social reporting and analytics and how to interpret data to lead strategies.
- Experience in both organic and paid media.
- Experience concepting and creating content (editorial, image/video, and social).
- Experience creating user journeys informed by consumer and SEO insights.
- Ideal but not essential, have a working understanding of how UX/I influences the content and the user perception of a website.
