SubjectToClimate (StC) is a nonprofit online connector for teachers of all subjects and grade levels to find credible, unbiased, and engaging materials on climate change.

We know teachers are leaders for climate change. The Teacher Taskforce works at the heart of what we do: to build a platform by teachers, for teachers.

Job Description

The SEO Assistant collaborates closely with the SEO Lead to optimize our platform that empowers educators with easily accessible resources on integrating climate change into their curriculum. You need to be a white-hat SEO Assistant, and your primary duty will be to assist in enhancing the discoverability of our platform, ensuring our resources and lesson plans reach and resonate with the intended audience. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Focus: Off-Page SEO – Site research for potential links from relevant, high-authority websites.
  • Technical SEO – Look for Potential Technical SEO Issues using various SEO tools.
  • SEO Reporting – Gathering SEO report data on a monthly basis.
  • Site Indexing – Requests indexing of important site pages.
  • Keyword Research – Works with additional keyword research when needed & maintains the master keyword list.

Other responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the SEO Lead for different data requests.
  • Creates all bit.ly links
  • Maintains GA4 event tracking file
  • Check all the bitly links for different campaigns
  • Researches GA4, SEO, SGE, Google, AI updates.
  • Monthly data gathering for overall site metrics sheet.

Qualifications

  • 2 years SEO experience with Off-Page and Technical SEO tactics.
  • Passion and commitment to our mission and values. 
  • Possess the ability to communicate complicated processes simply.
  • Experience working remotely.  
  • Preference given to cadidates who have experience with using Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and Google Search Console.
