Artemis is a fast-growing digital marketing agency based in West Sussex. Due to rapid client expansion and the introduction of new channel partners, we urgently need a new SEO superstar to join our fantastic team.

The Role
Working alongside our SEO Director, Technical Director and SEO team, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth technical website audits, looking at everything from site structure and page optimisation to link profiles and a lot more in between.
You will control ongoing and new SEO strategies for our varied mix of SEO clients with valuable thinking time to fully immerse yourself in our clients’ sites and user journeys.

Responsibilities
Applicants must have an expert understanding of the search landscape across different devices and search verticals and an excellent understanding of universal search and traditional effective on-page optimisation, conversion rates optimisation and e-commerce techniques.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting extensive SEO site audits, delivering meaningful insights, and explaining findings and strategies to clients.
- Formulating, implementing and managing ethical SEO campaigns across our client portfolio.
- Providing medium to long-term strategic SEO direction.
- Providing detailed monthly SEO campaign task planning and management.
- Monitoring and analysing site performance, ensuring the clients’ web traffic is delivered.
- Create SEO and CRO campaigns that drive enquiries/sales of high quality and exceed performance targets.
- Working with team members to develop and improve team performance.
Essential Skills and Knowledge
Experience required:
- At least 5+ years of experience in a client-facing senior SEO role.
Technical Knowledge:
- Expert-level experience with common CMS including WordPress, Shopify, etc.
- Advanced working knowledge of Screaming Frog and all other relevant SEO analysis software tools.
- An excellent understanding of technical SEO and fixing site issues according to best practices.
- Analytical skills to derive insights from organic traffic, rankings, and conversion data from Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console.
- Expert knowledge of what makes for a good website user experience and conversion rate optimisation.
- Proficiency with Google Tag Manager in implementing tracking and analytics.
- Excellent understanding of keyword research, site content and strategic SEO planning.
- Knowledge of HTML and CSS. JavaScript and other programming languages.
- High customer service orientation with a stellar record of account management and client satisfaction.
- Exceptional verbal, written and visual communication skills. Can compellingly present analysis findings and convince others to adopt best-practice advice and suggestions.
- Excellent active listening skills, understanding client goals, objectives, and constraints before making recommendations, and empathy for client perspectives and needs.
- Exceptional attention to detail with organisational skills to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Takes full ownership with a results-oriented mindset and drive to exceed campaign goals.
- The ability to manage your time following the client, company and project timescales.
- Commitment to continually expanding SEO knowledge base through the latest industry news, events, blogs and forums.
