Who You Are

We’re looking for a highly analytical and technical paid search expert to join our Paid Media team and lead our PPC program. You will be responsible for the campaign creation, management, and optimization of Justworks’ PPC campaign to hit aggressive growth targets. You will analyze performance, run diagnostics, draft analyses, run experiments, optimize existing campaigns, and build new ones. You’re a strong individual contributor, but are skilled at collaborating with marketers, copywriters, finance and key sales and product partners across the organization. The ideal candidate has a track record of building and managing PPC programs, being laser focused on driving impactful revenue outcomes.You will report to the Director, Growth Marketing and Advertising.

What You Will Work On

  • Lead PPC campaign strategy and optimize performance, adjusting bidding strategies, ad copy, and targeting parameters to improve conversion rates, build quality pipeline, and achieve KPIs
  • Effectively manage and optimize a multi-million dollar advertising budget to maximize ROI and achieve set KPIs
  • Conduct keyword research and analysis to optimize PPC campaigns, ensuring high-quality traffic and pipeline creation
  • Develop a deep understanding of our data and metrics, test & iterate, instill analytical rigor as the basis for decision making
  • Build effective cross-functional partnerships with marketing operations, analytics, website marketing, SEO, content marketing, product, sales and finance
  • Optimize attribution methodologies, model and forecast ROI, and build testing plans to improve campaign performance and identify opportunities for growth investments
  • Recommend landing page strategies and consult on landing page planning and optimizations
  • Confidently and clearly communicate campaign outcomes, insights, and recommendations to key stakeholders

As Senior Paid Search Manager, how results are achieved is paramount for your success and ultimately result in our success as an organization. In this role, your foundational knowledge, skills, abilities and personal attributes are anchored in the following:

  • Functional expertise-subject matter expertise of specific function(s), including knowledge of principles, practices, and domain knowledge.

  • Clear communication-the ability to articulate thoughts and express ideas effectively using oral, written, visual and non-verbal communication skills, as well as listening skills to gain understanding.


  • A minimum of 8+ years working in digital media with a proven track record of scaling and optimizing a PPC program
  • At least 2+ years B2B experience, ideally SMB focused
  • Proven track record of managing media budget to revenue goals and efficiency metrics
  • Deep hands-on-keyboard experience managing a paid search program
  • Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills are essential. Must have ability to interpret and organize data and identify actionable insights
  • Comfortable with marketing technology stack and an understanding of campaign & attribution data flows and processes
  • You have deep expertise in Google Analytics, CRO, and A/B Testing
  • Confident presenter and storyteller who can effectively convey POVs, results, and strategies to internal teams and stakeholders
  • Experience and enthusiasm for collaboration with cross-functional teams and forming successful relationships with stakeholders throughout the company
  • A constant learner, with strong knowledge of the media landscape
  • Experience in Salesforce CRM, SQL, Tableau, strongly preferred

The base wage range for this position based in our New York City Office is targeted at $155,500.00 to $171,050.00 per year.

Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location.  Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
