📍 London Hybrid – 2 days per week in our London HQ (Aldgate, E1) the other 3 days working remotely
The Mission
- Two in five people in the UK rent their homes. Goodlord’s mission? To provide them with the best renting experience in the world 🌎
- We started Goodlord because we wanted to make renting simple and transparent for everyone involved: the agent, the landlord, and the tenant. We knew Generation Rent would lead to more tenants, with higher digital expectations and we were confident we could provide a solution 🏠
- Like all scale-ups it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster journey, but we’re now stronger than ever, with around 3,000 letting agents using the platform, exciting and varied products and 350+ Goodlordians across the group supporting the mission! 💚
No two days are ever the same at Goodlord so what you’ll be up to will vary. The pace we move at also means priorities will change and you’ll need to be comfortable with this (we’ll support you!).
The Role
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Content Marketing Executive to join our team. Executing our 2025 content plan, which supports our content strategy, will be your key focus, but you’ll also have opportunities to contribute to and own strategic initiatives.
This is a highly creative role with a focus on producing, editing, and optimising content – from blogs and e-books, to podcasts and webinars. You will work with the Senior Content Manager to raise awareness of the Goodlord brand, and to produce content that will get agents interested in learning more about our platform.
You will be trusted to manage Goodlord’s blog, Newsagent, and to employ Goodlord’s tone-of-voice in every project you do, whether you’re writing a leaflet, an email, or a course. We want you to push the boundaries, try new things, and take responsibility for your ideas.
In this role, you’ll work closely with the Senior Content Manager as well as the Demand Generation and Design teams. You’ll also be encouraged to develop relationships with the Account Management and Sales teams to help produce content that is relevant and useful to letting agents.
What you’ll be doing:
- Writing and editing content and copy as well as uploading titles from our content marketing plan
- Conducting interviews with industry thought leaders and internal subject matter experts
- Managing and developing our newsletter, focusing on delivering value and reinforcing customer relationships
- Overseeing the creation, maintenance, and distribution of the monthly Rental Index and develop relationships with the Data team
- Working with the Account Management and Sales teams to create compelling case studies that support business priorities
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest lettings news coverage – reporting it back to the business and identifying stories
- Supporting the team with reporting
- Providing editorial assistance to other stakeholders across the business, when required
What we need from you:
- Proven track record creating content with unique angles: You have a knack for creating content with strong, original perspectives that stand out on whatever channel you’re leveraging.
- Can think strategically about how content fits into the bigger picture and is motivated by driving measurable results.
- Have a multi-channel approach and are able to leverage a range of distribution channels beyond search, including social media, email, and beyond.
- Naturally curious – we’re looking for someone that’s eager to dive deep into understanding our product suite, personas, and industry trends, using this knowledge to craft unique and compelling content.
- Experienced in interviewing and working with internal and external stakeholders to develop authentic, high-quality content.
- Has solid SEO fundamental knowledge and understands how to write long-form content for search that drives customer actions, not just traffic.
- Experience in creating and managing social media campaigns to support content distribution.
What’s in it for you:
- 🚀 Grow with Goodlord: your development is important to us, that’s why we are Great Place to Work – certified. Have a goal in mind? Share it with us and you can use your £1000 annual development fund to support it. We guarantee you’ll learn loads and develop both personally and professionally at Goodlord too!
- 💕 Your well-being matters: bi-weekly coaching with Sanctus to provide Goodlordians with a safe place to talk and support your mental health
- 🌴 25 days holiday (plus BH) plus 1 day per full holiday year up to 32 days: We believe regular breaks are essential for well-being and we encourage (some may say expect!) all goodlordians to take full advantage of their annual leave entitlement.
- 🤗 Supporting your family: we offer Goodlordians of all genders a generous 3 months of fully-paid time off to look after their new arrivals
