What’s the role?

We are looking for an outcome-oriented Digital Marketing Specialist focused on feed-based Paid Social and Display Channels to join our performance marketing team in Brooklyn!

This person will work across the major paid social and display channels (Facebook, Pinterest, GDA, etc.) where large-scale, dynamic product feed experience is essential. You are accustomed to leading and optimizing performance campaigns with specific direct response goals (ROI, LTV), translating paid media strategy into concrete plans with agencies and internal partners, and executing those plans to reach Etsy buyers around the world. This role requires an understanding of multi-touch attribution systems and processes to use that attribution in optimization.

Please note that this role specifically requires experience with Feed-Based, Product Catalog Ads; candidates with only traditional paid social/display ad experience should not apply.

This position will be reporting to the Performance Marketing Manager and the base salary range will be 80,000 – 104,000 USD per year. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy. What does the day-to-day look like?

  • Supports Etsy’s global growth marketing program towards ambitious performance goals around return on lifetime value and habitual buyer creation
  • Lead external agencies and technologies effectively; maximizing service/offerings and recognizing needs for strategic guidance/gaps in internal resources
  • Deliver reporting, insights, and forecasts that accurately and appropriately measures channel performance on a daily through annual basis
  • Continuously QA product catalog set up to ensure optimal performance, while also developing strategies to optimize attributes and custom labels to surface quality listings in ad campaigns.
  • Collaborate with internal, cross-functional partners to strengthen the performance marketing program, such as pixel implementation and feed development and optimization with engineering
  • Partner with marketing team members to develop integrated efforts across channels, such as holiday campaigns
  • Stay on top of the always-evolving digital marketing landscape, from industry news to emerging technology, with an emphasis on the quickly evolving and mass impacting privacy landscape.

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:

  • Have 2-4 years of online and direct response marketing experience with demonstrated success in leading substantial paid social and display performance budgets to specific product catalog sales goals
  • Material experience managing and optimizing large-scale product feeds and respective catalog sales ad campaigns through automated ad solutions such as Dynamic Ads for Broad Audiences (DABA) on Meta.
  • A strong analytical drive, with previous experience with advanced attribution models (multi-touch, LTV, frequency) and sufficient knowledge of major data analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Neustar, Looker, etc.)
  • Expanded skill set with marketing technology platforms such as MMPs (i.e. Appsflyer, Branch), CDPs (i.e Segment, LiveRamp) and creative or feed optimization tools (i.e., Feedonomics, etc.)
  • Expertise with data integrations (pixel/S2S), privacy compliance, International strategy, app and video experience are of additional benefit
  • Have strong critical thinking skills coupled with a bias towards action so as to anticipate and navigate the constantly changing marketing landscape
  • Natural collaborator who is able to align partners and drive decision-making
  • A passionate member of the Etsy community and someone who believes in Etsy’s vision, mission and values.
  • In-house experience a plus, where you have learned to be resourceful by building positive relationships across the company
