Paid Media Specialist

This Paid Media Specialist position will sit within the wider marketing team, reporting into a Digital Marketing Manager, this is a new role with the opportunity to join a new team and make the role your own, with a focus on driving sales and brand awareness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and execute the paid social strategy delivering campaigns that deliver sales and growth of the business.
  • Be an online marketing expert with a drive and passion for all things digital.
  • Develop and implement paid social strategies across multiple platforms, such as Meta, YouTube, TikTok, and Display.
  • Create and manage campaigns across Paid Social and YouTube, including campaign set-up, budget allocation, targeting, ad copy creation, and daily ongoing optimization.
  • Provide media plans, forecasting, and quarterly reviews when necessary.
  • Monitor campaign performance, analyse data, and provide actionable insights to optimise campaign performance and achieve KPIs.
  • Conduct A/B testing and experiment with different ad formats, creatives, and targeting options to improve campaign performance.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop assets for our paid media channels.
  • Develop and execute innovative lead generation campaigns to increase the opt-in customer base.
  • Develop a testing framework and plans for creative, messaging, and targeting across all channels.
  • Ensure consistent and effective branding and tone of voice appropriate across the group for each brand.
  • Keep up to date with new and upcoming digital trends and test new opportunities relevant to the group.
  • Collect data to analyse how campaigns are performing, constantly evolving best practices to get the best possible return from our investment, using a variety of metrics.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, monitoring performance and producing campaign performance reports capable of demonstrating direct links to sales and other business objectives.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Paid Media particularly within Paid Social, Online Video and Programmatic Display; independently carrying out day-to-day analysis, optimisation, and maximisation.
  • Generate reports and carry out advanced performance analysis to inform campaign optimization.
  • Maintain strong relationships with teams, being their trusted paid media advisor.

Role requirements

  • Proven experience in managing paid social campaigns across multiple platforms, in an agency or digital marketing environment (2+ years).
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising platforms, such as Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads, YouTube, Programmatic Display platforms.
  • Proficiency in using analytics and tracking tools, such as Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager, or similar platforms, to measure and report campaign performance.
  • Knowledge of SEM and SEO principles, and how they integrate with paid media campaigns.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects, partners, campaigns, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Experience in the execution of paid social strategies, and working knowledge of Meta ads and other paid social channels is a must.
  • Self-starter with a high degree of initiative and a sales-commercial mindset.
  • Confidence and desire to lead cross-functional project teams and effectively communicate team recommendations to the wider marketing team, and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
