What we’re looking for

The Director, Web Strategy owns the strategy for SurveyMonkey.com, sitting at the intersection of product, marketing, design, and engineering. This role requires a customer and data-obsessed leader with a blend of strategic thinking, technical fluency, and creative storytelling.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in website strategy, conversion rate optimization, SEO / growth tactics, web technologies, and a track record of developing strategies that attract, convert, and retain site visitors. Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Web Strategy and Growth, this role is vital in prioritizing and executing high-impact initiatives that move business metrics. 

What you’ll be working on

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for building a world-class global digital experience on SurveyMonkey.com 
  • Establish, own, and deliver weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting analyses on web performance and business impact 
  • Develop and articulate a clear strategy and roadmap for SurveyMonkey.com that supports SurveyMonkey’s growth and customer experience goals
  • Implement web strategies to drive traffic to SurveyMonkey.com, maximizing visibility and reach.
  • Audit the entire user journey on our website, identifying opportunities to improve conversion (both self-service and sales-assisted), drive understanding and intent, and improve user experience.
  • Implement a rigorous experimentation roadmap from landing pages to CTAs to form optimization, driving continuous improvement to key funnel metrics based in data and user research.
  • Manage the website tech stack and admin capabilities with engineering to support content creators and site reliability. 
  • Grow and nurture an exceptional team, known for deep expertise, innovative products, speed, and results. Foster a positive team dynamic.
  • Partner cross-functionally across design/creative, product, engineering, sales, support, data, and marketing to bring your strategy to fruition, optimizing the process for speed while not sacrificing quality.

We’d love to hear from people with

  • 12+ years in growth product management or growth marketing roles driving website strategy, product growth, and/or organic customer acquisition, including 5-8 leading product teams across global locations 
  • Prior success in SaaS organizations driving web strategy, conversion rate optimization, product growth tactics, and SEO (at scale) at consumer and B2B companies 
  • A performance data-driven mentality and a track record of driving meaningful improvements across key metrics like site conversion rates, traffic, engagement, sign-ups, leads and revenue
  • Experience with product experimentation, A/B testing, and driving user and data-driven roadmap decisions. Fluency in CMS platforms, UI and design, analytics and monitoring tools (e.g. Amplitude, Google Analytics, Tableau, Wordpress, Figma)
  • Experience working with global, cross-functional teams to ensure the success of the defined strategy
