Job Description
We’re seeking a seasoned and proactive Director of Digital Communications Strategy to lead our clients in elevating their digital communications. This individual will be responsible for defining client communication needs, building strategic digital plans, and overseeing implementation to drive measurable outcomes.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with the end-to-end process of building and maintaining digital channels, including websites, social media, and email. They will bring deep familiarity with digital metrics and analytics, using data-driven insights to refine and enhance digital strategies. Additionally, they will be adept in email and social media strategy, understanding how to optimize each channel for engagement and impact.
This role demands a forward-thinking professional who can translate evolving digital trends into actionable strategies and is passionate about guiding clients to success in their digital initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Leads and advises clients and internal teams on omnichannel and integrated digital communication strategies, ensuring the development of comprehensive approaches that encompass various channels and platforms.
- Conducts thorough communication audits, identifying opportunities for enhancement and optimization of digital communication strategies.
- Specializes in content performance metrics and information architecture, providing expert guidance on the measurement and analysis of digital content impact across diverse media.
- Develops and maintains a network of freelance experts, capable of providing specialized services including Search Engine Optimization (SEO), web development, email strategy, social media, and management of third-party platforms.
- Acts as an internal subject matter expert, proactively expanding the company’s digital capabilities in various areas as needed.
- Demonstrates exceptional confidence and expertise in client interactions, skillfully guiding them through the process of developing effective digital communications.
- Builds and sustains strong relationships, rapidly establishing credibility and trust as a subject-matter expert.
- Operates with a high degree of independence as a key strategic lead within the organization, while also collaborating effectively with international, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, lean environment.
- Stays abreast of industry trends, ensuring the organization’s digital communication offerings remain innovative and effective.

Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a digital content role
- Experience working in a Professional Services agency required
- Sharp project management skills
- Superior communication skills
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Prior work experience in a startup or lean organization is a value add
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, English, or a related field preferred
- Experience in the Medical Communications or healthcare industry a plus
