The Digital Marketing Manager will launch, lead and manage engaging branded content with Cleveland Foundation online communities. This role is responsible for amplifying online brand presence by generating creative ideas that showcase the organization and our partners; managing social media and owned content across digital platforms; and aiding in the planning and executing of digital communications and campaigns.

Requirements

Responsibilities and Expected Outcomes:

· Manage digital communications, including all owned social media properties and paid and organic campaigns. Align work with attention to audience interest and engagement as well as platform growth.

· Maintain awareness and sensitivity to real-time conversations and brand presence. Establish relationships with social media non-profit colleagues and local influencers to develop a strong brand network.

· Develop and maintain brand voice, tone and look and feel across digital platforms.

· Establish and maintain social media short- and long-form video content strategy to support inspirational and ongoing storytelling about the foundation’s initiatives and stakeholders.

· Proactively identify and attend owned, sponsored and community events and initiatives, locally and nationally, to capture and publish real-time content.

· Work with agencies as appropriate to develop and implement creative ideas and campaigns that might include short-form video, photography and onsite production.

· Partner with colleagues to publish regular blog posts and maintain a steady flow of updated messaging and content throughout the website with attention to search engine optimization (SEO).

· Partner with colleagues to manage targeted email and database marketing efforts with an eye toward increasing click-through rates and subscriptions.

· Collaborate with colleagues responsible for Program, Advancement and Human Resources communications to creatively repurpose and optimize marketing pieces for online audiences.

· Leverage monitoring tools to define and measure key performance indicators across paid and organic social media, digital advertising and brand web site(s). Analyze engagement data and identify trends in customer interactions. Use appropriate metrics to demonstrate accountability and success and contribute to the team’s quarterly report for leadership.

· Stay current with social media best practices per platform and share learnings with colleagues.

· In collaboration with the Racial Equity Committee and Program Manager for Racial Equity & Racial Justice Initiatives, help to develop and apply a racial equity frame to social media communications.

· Collaborate with colleagues across the foundation as well as community partners to create a welcoming, inclusive environment for guests at the foundation’s MidTown headquarters. Maintain playlist content across multiple digital screens in the new headquarters.

· Other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications, Credentials and Technical Skills required:

· A successful candidate should have three or more years of work experience in marketing, digital marketing, communications, or a related field. A bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or a related field is welcome, but not required.

· Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate.

· Graphic design, photo editing and HTML/content management experience.

· Know-how to produce compelling communications in multiple digital formats. Deep understanding of digital trends.

· Strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and touch points. Experience identifying critical conversion points and drop off points to optimize user funnels.

· Generalist skills that include writing, proofing, social media, Google Analytics, SEO/SEM, project management and more.

· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams. Advanced proficiency in Zoom meetings and webinars for the purpose of hosting and attending virtual convenings. Advanced proficiency in social media apps including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn. Basic proficiency in Adobe software including InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere and Acrobat Pro. Basic proficiency with CRM software, social media calendaring software and email marketing software, such as Salesforce, Salesforce Social Studio and Salesforce Marketing Cloud/Cloud Pages. Basic proficiency with Google Analytics. Basic proficiency with ad serving tools and optimizing PPC campaigns. Basic proficiency in Web CMS including WordPress. Basic proficiency using a digital phone system. Basic proficiency organizing files on shared drive and via a cloud service like DropBox.

· Ability to plan, organize, multi-task and pay careful attention to detail in order to support multiple projects, clients and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.

· Strong belief in team and client service, including experience collaborating and supporting a team and working effectively with persons and communities from diverse backgrounds.

· Commitment to racial equity and inclusion in all areas of work.

· Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills. Bi-lingual preferred.

· Passion for philanthropic communications, nonprofit marketing and making a positive impact on the lives of others.

· Ability to maintain confidence when working with sensitive information.

PAY AND BENEFITS: 

Based on the foundation’s compensation program, estimated annual salary for this position may be anywhere between $62,000 and $80,000, based on the academic, professional and community experiences and credentials of a candidate.
