As a Digital Marketing and Data Solutions Lead, you will partner with MarTech, Data and Agency teams to ensure successful implementation of our technical digital marketing projects. The role will focus on driving incremental business value through technical innovation, AdTech integrations and building partnerships across the Sky Group.

What you’ll do

  • Future-proof Sky’s advertising technology stack and data strategy against industry and regulatory changes. For example, consumer privacy and cookieless future.
  • Protect digital marketing sales revenue through constant evaluation and testing of emerging marketing technologies.
  • Create robust business proposals that demonstrate the potential value of new technologies.
  • Contribute to the successful technical deployment and management of CDP use cases within Digital Marketing in partnership with Agency, MarTech, Sky Data and Sky Media.
  • Oversee accurate audience segmentation and activation from CDP across Sky products.
  • Collaborate with Agency to drive data growth plan, including the identification and activation of new first party data sources across brand and trade.
  • Review Agency data growth plan recommendations and ensure alignment with Sky’s vision.
  • Explore and validate value exchange mechanisms for additional first party data collection via digital channels.
  • Extensively document marketing vendor tagging on sky.com and contribute to cross-team process improvement across Sky.
  • Collaborate ad run the relationship with our Brand Safety partner
  • Act as AdTech expert within the digital team, supporting business use cases and delivering regular updates and training on industry trends.

What you’ll bring

  • 8+ years in technical digital marketing roles.
  • Extensive experience testing alternative digital technologies relating to first-party data activation. For example, Clean Rooms, UUIDs, cohort-based targeting.
  • Deep understanding of the digital ecosystem and industry impacts, including experience with Ad Servers, DMPs, CDPs, analytics, tagging and digital marketing buying tools.
  • Commercial mindset – able to create and drive business cases through stakeholders within the business.
  • Good working knowledge of both tagging and analytics platforms
  • A brilliant collaborator with an ability to work across a complex matrix organisation.
  • Experience managing agency teams and maximising productivity from them.
  • Strong ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audience.

Team overview
Digital Marketing sits within our wider central digital team that work across all of our different product portfolio (TV, Broadband, Mobile and Insurance).  The role of the team is to drive demand to Sky.com and inform our customers about our latest products and offers whilst driving sales and revenue for Sky.
