Digital Marketing and Communications Strategist
We are looking for an experienced and result-driven freelance Digital Marketing Strategist to provide corporate digital marketing strategies for large small businesses, nonprofits and corporations and government agencies. This is an on-going project-based, freelance, 90% remote position based in Atlanta. Candidates should have experience:
- Building, planning and implementing the overall digital marketing strategies for brands in regulated industries, non-profits, and government agencies.
- Managing digital projects and working with team members/contractors/vendors to execute tasks
- Conducting research and competitive analysis to inform strategies
- Conducting stakeholder interviews and leveraging social listening tools to inform strategic recommendations
- Presenting digital strategies to internal teams and clients for feedback and alignment
- Persuading clients to align with your strategic point of view
- Being detailed oriented with internal and external communications
- Working with/giving direction to copywriters/graphic designers to produce content as applicable; when needed
- Stay up to date with latest technology and best practices
- Measuring and Tracking ROI and KPIs

Requirements:
- Must be based in the United States and available to appear at in-person meetings if/when applicable (even if we have to fly you in)
- 4+ years of experience as a Digital Marketing Strategist or similar role for a corporation or large small business
- 4+ years in developing and implementing digital marketing strategies
- Good knowledge of all different digital marketing channels, but especially social media
- Good knowledge and experience with online marketing tools and best practices
- 4+ years of hands on experience with SEO/SEM, Google Analytics and CRM software
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Collaborative team player
- Excellent time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- BS degree in Marketing, Digital technologies or relevant field
- Hands-on experience using social media for brand awareness, building community and employee advocacy
- Understanding of digital marketing and social media metrics
