About the role:

We are looking for a motivated, multi-skilled Content Strategist and Writer with B2B experience to join our in-house creative team. Supporting the SMB marketing team, you will be responsible for developing brand and product messaging alongside stakeholders, as well as ideation on campaign concepts, and long and short-form copywriting, from ad copy to case studies. This role requires a merchant-marketing mindset to win new business by building compelling content that differentiates the value to merchants.

For this role, you should have a deep understanding of B2B marketing, able to tailor your thinking to varied personas and markets, and translate the complexity of payments into a customer-centric story. As part of a global brand, you’ll be working with teammates and stakeholders in various timezones across the US and Europe. 

What you will be doing: 

  • Working in close collaboration with the client, both in your day-to-day team and with stakeholders across the business.
  • Multi-platform, high-quality copywriting across platforms and formats including CRM, social, paid digital media, .com, video, in-app and OOH.
  • Developing insight-led, merchant-first strategy, from product key messages to communication concepts.
  • Evaluating work developed by other teams, making recommendations to create best-in-class content.
  • Championing a merchant-first perspective across all touchpoints, drawing on insights to create powerful storytelling that connects audience painpoints to brand solutions.
  • Analysing past results and implementing findings on current projects, identifying opportunities to enhance our work.
  • Developing a deep understanding of target audiences, and the client’s marketing strategy to deliver high-quality results that have an instant, positive impact on the consumer, promoting the product/brand.  

What you need to be great in this role: 

  • A broad understanding of all digital channels and how they work in a B2B context, including SEO, PPC, content marketing, social media, email marketing and web.
  • Analytical thinker with a track record of creating strong, research-led strategy and concepts that are rich in insight and connect across touchpoints.
  • Confident contributing ideas and opinions, and eloquent and persuasive in selling them in.
  • An understanding of products/techonologies in payments & banking, and previous experience in the fintech sector.
  • Experience engaging with audiences, sifting through testimonials and interviews to create strong brand storytelling.
  • Strong client liaison with a proven track record of developing strong client relationships.
  • Ability to work independently, organising and prioritising workloads to manage your time efficiently.
