The Opportunity
University of the Arts London is looking for a Communications Assistant to support digital communications and marketing campaigns for our Communications and External Affairs department.
As a Communications Assistant, you will provide content support, utilising your creative skills to create impactful content that tell great stories as well as impart key information. Your role will be focused on providing communications to current students inhouse, prospective students and external guests for our commercial business. Content produced will be delivered across all Accommodation Service’s social media channels, website and print materials.
You will also provide vital administrative support to the management team as required, which will include monitoring Accommodation Service’s social media forums and team inboxes to ensure enquiries are triaged and responded to in a timely and professional manner.
About You
You will be an organised, enthusiastic and hard-working team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills. A degree in in a Communications/Writing/Content related subject or relevant equivalent experience will be essential. You will demonstrate experience of digital communication/social media communications, including experience of creating content in a variety of formats such as film/video. Knowledge of social media monitoring and publishing tools e.g. Social Studio would also be ideal.
You will be digitally savvy, possessing excellent IT knowledge and skills across the full Microsoft Office package and Adobe Suite, and will be proficient in Premier Pro, InDesign and Photoshop. An excellent command of English plus meticulous attention to detail is essential, as are good researching skills. Candidates with a background in journalism, digital media or content creation would be ideal.
