What you will do

  • Co-create a market-leading proposition through a deep understanding of the role the organic (SEO, Digital PR & Content) team will play for the agency and our clients
  • Support on generating new business leads, and play a key role in pitches
  • Interrogate and respond to briefs, conduct both technical SEO and content analysis and present back strategies and ideas confidently
  • Champion the purpose, vision, mission and values of the organic team, and Journey Further
  • Create and implement integrated organic strategies that deliver on that vision
  • Grow, lead and manage your own team of US-based SEO and strategy experts
  • Build training programs, implement efficient ways of working and develop your team into stars
  • Implement best-in-class organic growth strategies for our clients, ensuring that technical SEO, content strategy and Digital PR work together harmoniously
  • Align organic activity with wider performance marketing channels to ensure we deliver the most value for our clients
  • Work with senior management and directors to continuously develop our organic search offering


  • You understand best-in-class SEO and content practices – how they operate, what role they play across agencies, and what works and what doesn’t
  • You have at least 7 years experience working across technical SEO and content strategy and are keen to test new tools and proprietary technologies
  • Have experience with creating briefs for copywriters and digital PR / link building specialists – to execute on the findings of audits
  • You can conduct complex technical and onsite analysis, create easy to understand audits and deliver recommendations with clarity
  • You are a confident communicator and have worked directly with senior client stakeholders to sell-in services
  • You are passionate about thought leadership and want to help us become famous
  • You have acute commercial awareness and an ability to build a profitable approach with clear scopes of work
  • You have management experience and are excited at the opportunity to build and grow a happy and productive team
