The Role

Half Magic Beauty is looking for an Assistant Manager, Influencer Relations who will be responsible for building a comprehensive influencer marketing strategy spanning gifting, paid content, as well as an affiliate/ambassador program.  This role will report directly to the VP Marketing but will also work very closely with our founder, Donni Davy and the company leadership GM.  For the right candidate, this is an incredible opportunity for high-level exposure, on a trend-setting, well-funded brand, that is at the forefront of beauty creativity.

The ideal candidate is deeply rooted in social trends, with strong knowledge and interest in both beauty and entertainment.  He/she/they should be highly organized, a self-starter, enjoy fast-paced work and the agility of an early-stage company, and is ready to layer tried and true strategies with new approaches and a creative touch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Campaign management:
  • Manage evergreen and launch-specific influencer campaigns from start to finish including theme, gifting and paid one-to-one influencer partnerships across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other emerging platforms
  • Influencer management:
  • Drive development of brand and launch-specific gifting strategies under supervision from Marketing leadership
  • Develop, manage and track influencer list
  • Identify new influencers (all levels) for gifting and paid partnerships
  • Oversee daily send-outs to influencers, brand partners, makeup artists, celebrities
  • Built authentic, professional relationships with influencers (across beauty and entertainment) and their teams
  • Eventing:
  • Lead the eventing strategy including the number, theme, timing, and invite list for events and brand trips
  • Manage all deadlines to ensure events are on time and within budget
  • Collect post mortem analysis to review pros and cons of execution
  • Work with eventing agencies and staff events as needed
  • Affiliate Program:
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop affiliate marketing network and build revenue-driving influencer partnerships
  • Track and analyze ROI

 Experience & Qualifications

  • Must be located in Los Angeles
  • 2-3 years of Social Media Marketing and Influencer experience in beauty preferred.
  • Proficient in relevant social channels including Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat and YouTube as well as emerging channels
  • Strong comfort with metrics and ability to use data to improve the influencer list
  • Strong project management skills – able to plan for and manage deadlines
  • Ability to build strong, authentic relationships with influencers
  • Must have a voracious appetite and passion for Social Media, excitement for learning, and be open to new experiences and challenges
  • Personable and flexible with demands and changes in a fast-paced business environment and the ability to adapt quickly in an ever-changing Social Media landscape
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and professional
  • Ability to problem solve in a deadline-intensive environment
  • Strong personal affinity for beauty and beauty trends

Our target compensation range for this role is between $66,560 and $75,000 annually. Actual starting salary within the range will depend on various considerations, including; work experience, skills, specializations, and training. This role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, competitive healthcare, as well as other employee benefits.
