Job Description
We’re TrustedHousesitters, the online platform connecting a caring community of home and pet owners with sitters around the world. Joining for one annual fee, our members connect to exchange home and pet care for a place to stay. It’s a money-free exchange that sees owners enjoy worry-free travel while the sitters care pets and unlock a world of unique accommodation.

In the last few years, we’ve achieved a lot. Consistently achieving high year-on-year growth, we’ve doubled from 25 employees to a team of over 50. We’ve moved to our fifth shiny new office based in SPACES, a co-working space in the heart of Brighton. We’ve recently announced funding to help continuously improve our platform, won lots of awards, including Amazon’s Growing Business Award. The Role

“Social media is equal parts marketing, branding, acquisition, PR, community development and data analysis” - Angela Laws

You will manage organic and paid social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities across core social channels including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Responsibilities will include:

  • Creating a comprehensive social media marketing plan that includes strategies that are proven by testing and metrics.
  • Creating, curating, and managing all published content, including images, video and written posts, suitable for a global audience.
  • Delivering paid and organic social tactics as part of omnichannel promotions and campaigns.
  • Managing the paid social budget, strategy and content, optimising for CPL and regularly refreshing content.
  • Compiling reports for management showing results including ROI, engagement and reach for both organic and paid channels. Analyse key paid and organic metrics and implement new tactics and strategies as needed.
  • Monitoring trends in social media platforms, tools, applications, design and strategy.
  • Working with the Content Marketing Executive to define relevant content topics to build and engage the TrustedHousesitters community.
  • Monitoring, listening to and responding to users, building a relationship and a sense of community.
  • Acting as an advocate for TrustedHousesitters in social media spaces, working with the Community Manager to engage in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate.

Skills Range
To be successful in this role, you’ll be able to demonstrate:

  • A meticulous eye for detail and good standard of written English
  • World class Social Customer Service techniques including empathy, patience, advocacy and conflict resolution.
  • Robust marketing knowledge with experience managing multiple paid and organic social platform with global audiences.
  • Experience in budget management and optimisation.
  • Basic video editing in iMovie, Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere Pro is a plus.

  • Creative and analytical, able to manage and optimise an engaging social content calendar and report on performance to senior management.

  • Able to identify a potential negative or crisis situation and apply conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues.
