This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, driven and strategic individual to join an award-winning provider of brilliant group experiences. Through our brands, The Stag Company and Hen Heaven, we organise fantastic activity and accommodation packages across the UK and Europe for groups. We’re looking for an SEO Specialist to join our Marketing team at our central Brighton office, where we’ve created a fast-paced but relaxed working environment.

Job Description
This is a key strategic role within the business structure, responsible for improving rankings across both sites, optimising click-through rates from SERPs and finessing taxonomy and URL structures. We’re looking for a modern specialist who must be a problem solver and decision maker, with the ability to prioritise and develop relevant, engaging and quality content.

Working closely with the Marketing Manager, the SEO Specialist’s key responsibilities will be to:

  • Continually review and analyse The Stag Company and Hen Heaven websites to identify areas that can be optimised
  • Work closely with the web development team to implement technical and onsite SEO best practice and advancements, ensuring website optimisation
  • Improve click-through rate from SERPs
  • Finesse taxonomy and URL structure
  • Work closely with the Product & Commercial Manager and Sales Managers to deliver a high volume of top-quality leads, analysing conversion rates and customer demand per location, per activity and per landing page
  • Oversee Google Analytics profile for both brands
  • Prepare detailed strategy reports and develop link building strategies
  • Identify powerful keywords to drive the most valuable traffic and analyse keywords and SEO techniques used by competitors
  • Manage the keyword research, expansion and bid management for both sites, working with agencies and consultants as required
  • Write effective SEO content across our websites and blogs
  • Keep updated on SEO strategies to stay within search engine guidelines
  • Compile, present and maintain internal SEO guidelines
  • Play a hands-on role within content channels, working closely with the Digital Marketing & Content Executive to achieve results
  • Ensure that both brands are ahead of the curve in terms of optimised content generation
  • Identify problems, assess risk, and make recommendations to rectify issues and maximise opportunities, based on a thorough analysis of all data and related factors


Required experience

  • Prior experience in a specialist SEO role
  • Thorough working knowledge of SEO practices, PPC, Google Analytics and website optimisation tools
  • Natural ability to think creatively and strategically
  • Able to identify and resolve problems
  • Ability to work within a team and independently
  • Strong organisational, time management, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage a budget
  • Used to working with external suppliers
  • Experience within the events/travel industry is preferred but not essential
