The Role:

The primary purpose of this role is to support the Content & Social Media Manager in executing Cath Kidston’s social media strategy across the company’s various social media channels; currently including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube as well as contributing content to the Brand’s blog. Working alongside our Social Media agency, you will help deliver our ambitious social media organic strategy, create and curate content, manage campaigns and provide real-time management & measurement of our social media accounts.

The role will span both Marketing & eComm, perfect for a solid Coordinator who will thrive in such a hybrid role. You will have a hawks-eye for attention to detail, exceptional organisational skills and strong writing skills. On a day-to-day basis you will also work closely with our global social agency and other Communication and Creative teams, becoming an integral part of the team and ensuring all content is aligned with store and Ecomm. You’ll help ensure brand campaigns resonate with the Cath Kidston follower, new and old. You will help grow our online organic communities and engagement, manage internal reporting for social media activity, and support in guiding our international partners with their social platforms.

You will need to have a good working knowledge of how to plan and execute effective social content, be comfortable with prioritising your own workload, love processes, be creative and flexible in your approach. We’re looking for someone with outstanding communications skills, a real flair for managing social content, and a proven passion for digital and social trends.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Build brand awareness and desirability for the Cath Kidston brand & products via social media and content channels
  • Working closely with our social media agency on campaigns and content for Facebook and Instagram, ensuring brand and product storytelling is at the forefront of what we produce – this includes brief writing, daily content approval and sample handling
  • Managing daily schedule and writing copy for Twitter channel
  • Collaborate with all marketing functions to ensure activities integrate and work multi-channel
  • Contribute to an on-going brand ambassador blog programme to drive community engagement and lifestyle content (including artwork briefs, writing copy and managing external content producers such as bloggers)
  • Act as the main point of contact for Customer Services in queries around responding to social media brand & product questions
  • Prepare internal communications, such as blog analysis, social media KPI reports, research, competitor information, admin and any ad hoc tasks as required by the business

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Min 3 years previous experience in a marketing or communications role within a similar industry
  • Complete Social Media immersion and comprehension across multiple channels
  • Social media data analysis such a Google/Universal Analytics, Facebook Insights
  • Wordpress CMS experience and competent in Microsoft Office
  • Working to a brief and deadlines and writing briefs
  • Proficient, error-free creative copywriting and/or blog management
  • Proven ability to search optimize copy
  • Understanding of commercial and creative editorial requirements
  • Agency & project management
  • Creative artworking experience desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator
  • Strong sense of the CK aesthetic, personality & tone of voice
  • Passionate about our consumers, products and brand
