Overall Job Purpose

 

We are looking for a digital analyst/data scientist to monitor business performance and inform decision making by identifying factors contributing to business opportunities for growth. The candidate will do that by focusing on marketing optimisation, advance digital analytics and attribution modelling initiatives.

 

You will enjoy working with rich datasets, cutting edge technology, advance machine learning techniques and help shape a brand-new function in an innovative company that helps people live healthier lives.

 

Accountabilities

 

  • Develop statistical attribution models and work closely with Marketing department to incorporate the model outcomes
  • Provide guidance for the direct digital marketing budget allocation and forecasting models
  • Help develop new KPI’s and reporting dashboards to monitor business performance
  • Perform deep dive analysis in aspects of the digital journey to pull out trends, opportunities and issues 
  • Work closely with the data science team to build predictive models that drive digital marketing strategy and tactics
  • Assist Marketing team in implementing the models and findings to optimise conversion rates
  • Partner closely with our ad agency to ensure campaign targeting are maximized
  • Conduct customer centric analysis to identify business growth opportunities

 

Qualifications

 

Essential

 

  • Undergraduate degree in numerical subject

 

Desirable

 

  • Masters or other advanced degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering,  Economics, Finance or other quantitative field

 

Experience

 

Essential

 

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, Google Analytics and other Web Analytics tools and techniques
  • Advanced skills in using analytics tools to generate detailed MI reporting 
  • Practical experience of building and implementing models to solve business problems
  • Knowledge of digital analytics and digital marketing
  • Experience programming using SQL, SAS, R, Python or similar.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate analysis and recommendations to colleagues at different levels of the organisation 
  • Ability to translate technical thoughts & ideas into the business processes and/or business system environments. 
  • Interested in staying up to date on the latest developments in analytics and Data Science. 
  • Analytical mind-set and able to work independently as well as a strong team player
  • Prior experience working in a web analytics role or as a data scientist or qualitative statistical analyst

 

Desirable

 

  • Knowledge and prior experience using machine learning, data mining and other statistical techniques in a data science role.
  • Prior experience in attribution modelling
  • Financial services industry experience
  • Coding experience using CSS, HTML, Javascript or Jquery
