Job Description

At The Disney Store, we are famous for creating unforgettable and truly magical shopping experiences for all ages. With our high-quality merchandise and Guest experience we support some of the most popular film franchises in the world from new additions such as Marvel and Star Wars to Disney Classics like Princesses and Tinker Bell.
We are seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to join The Disney Store Europe (TDSE). You will provide in-house graphic design expertise and create original graphics for the Disney Store and ShopDisney E-Commerce sites.

Responsibilities:

-Present design ideas in the Brand&Image (B&I) creative meetings. Keep up to date with market trends and proactively share ideas with the team,
-Deliver consistently high standards of digital graphic designs solutions to briefs through Jira,
-Provide clear and timely status updates on all briefs,
-Work closely with the Projects team, Theatrical and the Brand Management teams to ensure all creative is approved through the correct channels and follows Franchise Creative Guidelines,
-Creates an environment that encourages creative thinking and supports risk taking, whilst adhering to branding guidelines and maintaining character integrity,
-Maintain and develop close working relationships with Marketing, Visual Merchandising and Online teams working to ensure we constantly deliver strong innovative creative solutions with clear calls to action that drive sales,
-Design and manage creative solutions through to final print ready/digital artwork. These include; Online banners and freeform pages, Window designs, in-store creative and promotional graphics, Marketing activities and literature,
-Have an extensive understanding of both Digital and Litho printing and the processes involved,
-Provide workload updates to Design Manager on a regular basis,
-Present design ideas in the B&I creative meetings. Keep up to date with market trends and proactively share ideas with the team,
-Guide and mentor members of the B&I team.

Basic Qualifications:

-Understanding of Disney’s design and product philosophy,
-Professional qualification and or substantial experience with commercial understanding of the market,
-Substantial experience of designing within an Omni channel retail environment,
-Experience of mentoring a graphic design team,
-Graphic Design/product design skills and extensive knowledge of Apple Mac’s and related software, including the latest Adobe suite and later upgrades. Illustrator, Photoshop and In-design are essential, Sketch will be a plus,
-Can visualise and design 3D and 2D products, freehand as well as on computer,

-Must be able to identify and develop creative in line with consumer and retail trends,
-Design and production skills and is keen to embrace the opportunities provided by the latest technologies or manufacturing process,
-To have a broad understanding of Recycled and Recyclable initiatives and be able to provide Eco solutions where applicable,
-Lateral thinker and ability to articulate creative thoughts,
-Commercial and strategic approach to design,
-Reactive and flexible approach to creative projects and deadlines,
-Detail orientated and a focus on consistency,
-Collaborative and creative approach to design projects.
