Job Description

We are looking for an SEO Specialist at the top of their game to act as a consultant and set the SEO strategy  for our in-house marketing team.

 

You’ll need to be a high calibre influencer with great examples of when you fundamentally changed business outcomes through strategic SEO decisions. 

 

You will be able to influence decisions and actions within a dynamic, targeted and driven environment of likeminded digital evangelists. Key to success will be your ability to communicate effectively across the business from delivering insightful performance reports to senior managers through to advising developers on improvements to site architecture.

 

Experience using sophisticated digital analytics tools is a must. You need to have a head for the numbers. All your big ideas will need to be clearly supported with expected results across key performance metrics.

 

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Resident SEO consultant and key SEO influencer  for the whole  business
  • Indexation within major search engines such as Google and Bing
  • Recommend technical, best-practice improvements
  • Identify, monitor and optimise top keyword groups
  • Develop cycle of website & content audits and reporting to ensure problems and opportunities are identified
  • Work with various internal teams to implement your SEO recommendations
  • Daily monitoring of Bing Webmaster Tools and Google Search Console
  • Daily monitoring of inbound links to hl.co.uk
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with Digital Marketing Executives to ensure agreed improvements are implemented correctly
  • Host SEO workshops internally and interact with the wider SEO community to keep up to date with industry developments.

Requirements

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • BA/BSc degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Content and technical SEO
  • Digital Marketing
  • Direct SEO experience in a large consumer facing organisation or agency equivalent experience
  • Proven track record in delivering successful SEO campaigns
  • HTML, CSS, Javascript
  • Adobe Analytics
  • Content management system (CMS)
  • Crawling website, Backlink reporting
  • Enterprise level SEO tools
  • Understanding SEO implications of Server side functions
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
