Our Intermediary & Partnerships team is busy building the Aviva brand in the intermediary and partnerships markets. Our goal is to make Aviva the number one financial services brand amongst financial advisers, and the partner of choice for Britain's largest banks and building societies.

We’re looking for a well-organised individual, with bags of marketing experience, creativity and excellent people management skills to join us on the journey.


What’s the job?

  • Reporting to the Savings and Retirement Trading specialist you’ll be responsible to developing and leading the strategy for the retirement marketing trading plans
  • The key audience being wealth financial advisers (equity release, annuities, drawdown, long term care)
  • You’ll also be teaming up with marketing colleagues from other areas to bring together our products in a more powerful way for our customers.
  • To do this, you’ll ideally need to have experience of intermediary channels, ideally in financial services and you’ll be great at building relationships with people so that you can deliver marketing-led activity, centred on customers.
  • We need someone who’s used to working hand-in-hand with distribution and product teams, and a track record of campaign delivery and evaluation.
  • You’ll also need to be creative and curious. And we want somebody who’s willing to test out and try new marketing approaches to find what works, rather than accepting the standard way of doing things.


Your duties will include:

  • Developing targeted marketing activity and plans for products and propositions targeted at retirement intermediaries
  • Line management of agile pool of marketing consultants
  • Working closely with peers to produce an integrated trading plan for our wider financial adviser audience
  • Working closely with teams to review and update existing marketing materials to make sure our messages continue to be relevant and impactful.
  • Using digital media to improve the way we communicate to intermediaries, delivering a more targeted and personalised experience.


What are we looking for?

  • Experience of B2B and/or direct marketing, ideally for an insurance or financial services company
  • Excellent stakeholder management .
  • A deep understanding of marketing channels, tools and techniques.
  • Creative – willing to try new things.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Commercial, analytical and numerate, with a focus on trading performance.
  • Experience of working in a highly regulated industry.
  • Experience or good working knowledge of retirement products.
  • Experience of managing and motivating a small, focused team.
  • A qualified marketing professional, CIM postgraduate or equivalent.
