Marketing Assistant (Part time, maternity cover)

Pay: depending on experience

Maternity Cover part time role
Start date: January 2019
Hours: 2 days per week, flexible working hours of approx. 10-15 hours per week.


We are looking to recruit an organised and out-going person to work as Maternity Cover Marketing Assistant alongside our friendly team during 2019. We are a family run company supplying the education sector. This role would suit someone with marketing experience and who has the natural ability to create and write, and to deliver a timely and successful B2B marketing program.

The Marketing Assistant will be responsible primarily for campaign management, as well as other day-to-day marketing tasks and will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • - Experience of independently managing marketing campaigns from receipt of brief to reporting.
  • - Demonstrable experience of successful campaign execution, across print and digital channels.
  • - Creative flair and ability to put ideas in to a brief that external suppliers can understand.
  • - Experience with social media.
  • - Copywriting skills.
  • - Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • - E-commerce/E-marketing experience - desirable but not essential
  • - Design skills for collateral creation – desirable but not essential

  • - Microsoft Excel – essential
  • - Mailchimp – essential
  • - Wordpress – desirable
  • - Adobe creative suite – desirable

Person Specification

  • - Self-motivated
