An integral part of the Digital Marketing team, the role of Senior Digital Marketing Executive will primarily manage Age UK’s external email communications, working with stakeholders to ensure adherence to email best practices.
The role will be leading on email marketing activity, and as such will be expected to formulate the organisational email strategy with the Digital Marketing Manager, as well as being responsible for implementation and analysis of impact.
In addition to email, the role will lead on digital marketing campaigns covering SEM, digital display, paid social, and content marketing.
Other responsibilities will include analysing campaign performance, reporting learning's and successes back to stakeholders.
The role will also champion a comprehensive online presence and to develop digital marketing activity for Age UK as a whole.
Manage the entire end-to-end process for external email communications within the organisation, working with stakeholders to ensure all communications and compliant and meeting benchmark KPIs.
Create and implement email strategy for the organisation, with a focus on creating multiple complex user journeys to increase engagement and maintain awareness of Age UK’s work.
To be the main point of contact for the Email Service Provider (ESP), managing the ongoing relationship to ensure Age UK’s email communications and journeys are highly optimised at all times.
Ensure that all email communications are clearly integrated into the web analytics solution and all campaigns are tracked and reported on to improve and optimise future performance.
To identify new opportunities for Age UK’s email programmes, and grow the organisation’s brand, positioning and authority through the development of relationships with users via email marketing.
Working with CRM, analysing data behaviours and to create long-term acquisition campaigns to help grow Age UK’s subscriber base.
To be the central point of contact for the organisations email marketing communications.
Digital Reporting / Tracking:
Manage and develop Age UK’s current reporting and analysis processes, working with stakeholders to ensure reporting requirements are met.
Produce monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc campaign reports for performance of online marketing, email marketing & social media campaigns and other digital channels. Analyse and provide commentary on reports.
Plan and execute improvements to or, new requirements for traffic / KPI tracking on digital channels in conjunction with stakeholders and wider digital marketing team.
Utilise your marketing and organisational skills to assist as required your team colleagues to deliver
takeholder campaigns - from planning to delivery through to analysis of results.
Take a keen interest in development of digital as a whole and digital marketing specifically to ensure we move to new techniques and technologies as appropriate
A flexible attitude to work, potentially working across other projects within Group Digital as and when required.
Undertake any other task reasonably requested by the Digital Marketing Manager or Head of Content and Brand.
Very strong experience managing commercial digital marketing campaigns, both with internal stakeholders (CRM & business units) but also associated suppliers (media buyers and platforms).
Strong hands-on digital marketing experience with a preferred specific focus on email marketing and analytics.
Exceptional management of internal stakeholders from all disciplines but particularly: commercial / fundraising and CRM / database leads.
Experience of working with email marketing and providers, and executing email strategies.
Managing the processing of large volumes of data, with the ability to identify trends and anomalies.
An excellent working knowledge of the full digital marketing mix, specifically email marketing, PPC, SEO and Direct Response.
Good experience of campaign delivery and working with external agencies to produce campaigns on time and to budget.
Strong analytical skills to monitor and evaluate campaign performance including excellent knowledge of at least one major analytics provider.
Excellent attention to detail.
Good digital copy writing skills.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
