Job Description

We are pleased to invite skilled managerial candidates with a strong history within the marketing space to apply for our Head of Marketing vacancy. The appointed applicant will be tasked with managing our marketing team, project planning, and strategy, from advertising to content creation and branding.

The right person will have an innovative and enthusiastic approach to marketing strategy, establishing a greater brand presence in a competitive sector and working collaboratively to set targets and ensure they remain a core focus.

Our Head of Marketing will lead by example, with an excellent work ethic and an upbeat, positive attitude to foster success and ambition and nurture marketing staff to achieve.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the in-house marketing team, scheduling reviews, target setting, appraisals, and budgetary analysis to compare performance against KPIs.
  • Report back to the senior leadership team on budgets, performance, and achievements.
  • Supervise the team within the marketing department.
  • Oversee brand messaging, marketing research, and promotional and sales-based activities while monitoring impacts, competitor initiatives, and consumer behaviors.
  • Coordinate activities between digital marketing, creative, sales, and branding colleagues, including regular staffing plans to identify gaps in in-house talent.
  • Maintain oversight of the brand position, establishing strategic opportunities to improve revenues, awareness, visibility, and brand perceptions.

Requirements and Skills:

  • At least a degree in marketing, public relations, business communications, or an appropriate field.
  • Proven expertise in achieving results through strategic and well-managed marketing campaigns and projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of web analytics tools and software, including Google AdWords.
  • Good understanding of CRM software applications.
  • Strong leadership ability with an encouraging, motivational, and supporting nature to ensure junior team members have the support necessary to succeed.
  • An analytical focus on market and sector statistics, with the ability to conduct research and competitor analysis.
  • Prior experience working as a Head of Marketing or within a senior leadership capacity within a marketing or digital marketing team.
