SSAFASupporting the person behind the uniform, any time they need us,
SSAFA provides lifelong support for our Armed Forces and their families. Every year, through our award winning teams and services, we provide support to around 90,000 people worldwide. We would not be able to do this essential, life-changing work without the talent and hard work of our people.
The global SSAFA family is made up of around 500 dedicated employees as well as our wide network of committed volunteers.
- Health and social care professionals such as GPs, Nurses, Midwives and Social Workers located in the UK and overseas
- Specialists in Fundraising, Marketing & Communications, Finance, HR, Learning & Development and Volunteer Support, based in our London Central Office
- Skilled staff for our specialist services such as Mentoring and Adoption
- Business support staff, vital at all of our locations.
It is enormously rewarding to use your skills and experience to make a real difference in people’s lives. You could help us succeed.

Helping you realise your potential
We help our people to develop and improve their skills and knowledge so that they grow professionally and personally and contribute to achieving our goals. We are working to create a learning organisation through training and coaching. We address learning needs at all levels across the organisation through provision of a wide range of programmes, from leadership and management development to customer service and time management. Our objective is to help our people realise their full potential.
Volunteer with us
Another way to be part of SSAFA’s work is to volunteer working with current Forces and veterans in your local community.
