We are continuously investing in standards and the technology to keep us at the forefront of clinical advancement. The Marketing Manager is responsible for day to day running of the marketing team. Responsibilities include; creating the strategy for and delivery of the marketing and communications programme; managing the marketing team; financial planning and management of the marketing budget; working with colleagues, senior management and consultants to prepare and implement effective marketing plans for the development of services as well as the hospital generally; oversee an effective communications plan to various stakeholders using all channels both on and off line; oversee an effective communication plan for the redevelopment of the hospital. PR will also be a key responsibility. What you'll be doing To manage the marketing team including the recruitment, management and development of staff. To motivate, mentor and lead the team. Developing individuals to deliver a robust succession plan. Ensure the annual marketing plan is implemented and that it achieves its operational and financial objectives including all response and tracking data To set the annual marketing budget and to manage the marketing spend and the delivery of all marketing activity within the agreed budget, on plan generating a clear ROI To achieve frequent, timely and positive media coverage across all available media in conjunction with Group PR, and ensure the team liaise with Bupa group regarding all publicity for the hospital, driving PR opportunities on a continuous basis To work with colleagues, senior management, consultants and GPs to create effective marketing plans for new services, existing services and the hospital generally utilising the whole marketing mix. To ensure effective implementation of the marketing communications plan with the marketing team, in particular communications surrounding any redevelopment for the hospital To oversee the events programme including educational and networking events for GPs and consultants Who we’re looking for? Minimum of 5 years marketing and communications experience. Educated to degree level or equivalent. Ideally with healthcare marketing experience The ability to work in an environment where relationships with operations, senior managers and professional groups are key to success Demonstrate the ability to manage strategic marketing issues and understand their implications for a service organisation continually driving new opportunities and challenging the status quo Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and understand the impact of competing pressures and conflicting priorities. Enthusiasm, drive and energy Strong copywriting and editing skills, with a passion for detail The ability to work well under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines at the same time, taking the team with you on the journey Conversant with all media channels and their appropriate application Conversant with Microsoft Office suite of applications What’s it like to work here?
