Job Description: The role of Marketing Manager is a new position within the business. Closely aligned with the sales function, the Marketing Manager will be tasked with building, maintaining and growing the marketing function within Zoonou. We are looking for someone to come in and own the marketing function within our team by: Developing a marketing function that supports lead generation Monitoring, analysing and reporting on market trends Generating and controlling marketing materials that support the Business Development team Using Google Analytics, Matomo or similar to understand traffic patterns to our site and using this to uplift engagement Establishing new marketing strategies and improving upon those already in place Reporting on key successes, areas for improvement and new ideas. Specifics Develop, plan, document and deliver marketing strategies Create, lead and deliver campaigns Design and deliver social media strategies (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn etc) Design and deliver email marketing campaigns Design and deliver paid search campaigns (Google Adwords) Analyse market trends Creation of marketing video and webinar content Write briefs, proposals, white papers and copy Give presentations conveying marketing statistics and the business as a whole. Skills Range Ability to write various copy for social media posts, blogs, email, newsletters and web Excellent communication skills at all levels Good social media skills to enable you to engage with your target audience and design new strategies to grow relationships Strong sense of responsibility as you will be planning and driving campaigns as well as managing marketing spend Your organisational skills will be invaluable, as will your presentation skills Comfortable with your writing abilities as you’ll be required to write briefs, proposals, and copy for clients and their audiences. Person Specification You will be a naturally friendly, well-mannered and driven individual enthusiastic about working in a dynamic environment. You will be from a marketing background with a proven ability to deliver effective assets and campaigns backed by statistics that demonstrate value. You will be taking responsibility and ownership for establishing a productive marketing function within the business. A positive approach is essential, as is the ability to work with multiple stakeholders at all levels of the business. Qualifications Relevant courses from Chartered Institute of Marketing The Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing Higher National Diploma or a degree in marketing or marketing related area Experience Experience in the role of Marketing Executive, or similar. Experience in budgeting and campaign management. In addition, experience in strategy development, forecasting, and ROI calculations. Any experience in graphics and design would be very beneficial.
