Can you use your passion for email marketing to make a difference in an environment where it really matters? We have an exciting opportunity for a Fundraising Email Officer to join the RSPCA’s Digital Media team to deliver email marketing activity that recruits donors, retains supporters and generates income for the RSPCA. This role is fundamental to the delivery of the RSPCA’s email activity, promoting our message, engaging our supporters and driving income generation through our digital marketing channels. We’re seeking a self-motivated fundraising email officer with creative flair and a good working knowledge of HTML to help us develop and deliver fundraising email campaigns. The role would suit a saavy email marketer/ coder, who loves Google Analytics, knows their way around Photoshop, stays calm under pressure and enjoys working on multiple projects. What you’ll be doing: Building and editing responsive email templates to brief using HTML and CSS with thorough cross client testing on all major platforms. Managing fundraising email content, including producing content and editing content produced by other departments. Sending emails, and scheduling their dates with consideration to the wider email calendar. Managing requests and timelines for email marketing activity. Producing, advising on and developing email marketing strategies for fundraising campaigns, whilst working with the eCRM Manager to develop the overall email strategy. Informing the RSPCA’s Digital strategies with insight on how our different audiences engage with email communications. Producing reports and analysis of email marketing campaigns and providing recommendations for improvements. Working with the Data & Insight team to better target the RSPCA’s online communications. Managing updates to data held on the email marketing system and ensuring that data held is legally compliant. Devising, managing and implementing testing programmes to improve the effectiveness of all fundraising email communications. Carrying out competitor analysis against other commercial and non-profit organisations. You’ll have: Experience of copywriting and a good level of HTML coding. Experience in creating email marketing campaigns. Proven experience in an online marketing environment. Experience of working with and administering databases and user accounts within an eCRM system. Knowledge of personalisation, behavioural segmentation and marketing. Project and time management skills: to independently manage delegated assignments. Ability to problem solve and use evidence based research to define solutions to existing and future questions.
